For female runners...?

I decided to start running and I love it but I have a bit of a problem. When my weight actually comes down on the concrete, it feels like my uterus is literally about to fall out. I noticed by the end that it felt like I had menstrual cramps and they lasted all night. I'm not about to start a period because I ended one about a week ago. Has this happened to anyone else, is it normal and will it go away over time? Thanks in advance.

Update:

I don't have anyone in my family that runs except for my brother. I have a GYN appointment in a month, so perhaps I can ask then. I ran again today and it only got worse and I'm starting to think that there is something wrong, or perhaps I am just working muscles in that area that aren't used to it. I'm not sure.

Update 2:

I do warm up before I start running and I've been doing yoga for years...

Update 3:

I do warm up before I start running and I've been doing yoga for years...

Watch your diet, it might be something you ate. Have you been drinking enough water?

The closest I got to your situation was my uterus having a burning sensation and some cramps. It just depends on your body... Running changes your hormones. This means that while it might help some females regulate their bodies it might actually negatively change others that were already stable.

In my situation, if I stop running I get cramps. But with regular running workouts (40+ miles a week) I no longer get cramps during my period and my period significantly becomes shorter.

  • I would consider walking at first. Perhaps you're hurting a cold abdominal muscle by not warming up. It's not good to stretch cold muscles so walk for about five minutes before your run. After this warm up begin to move your legs and arms a little quicker so you are jogging. After a little while longer make your pace quicker and quicker. After you've completed your run stretch. Yoga is great to help this!

Ummm.... I've been running forever, and no that has never happened to me. I would talk to someone, like a female friend, or relative, thats runs. Maybe they can help you. I would think it is just that this was your first time running and most likely it will go away over time. But if its really bad, and is continuing to do that as you run, yes, I would see a doctor or something..

i think of it quite is particularly frustrating to tell. In some image Caster sounds like a woman, and others like a male. The might ingredient I word is Caster does not truly have the hip curves (From the tummy, it does not dips on the standards), yet some females are not curvy in any respect. some easily everyone seems to be a undeniable gender yet appear as if all different.

That is not normal and I would recommend calling your Dr. and quit running until you see or talk to him.
