Egg Protein - The Natural Bodybuilders Best Friend
Eggs have always had an important role in the bodybuilding arena. Most have maintained a raw egg diet to boost proteins in the body before working out and strength training. Protein has always been a pivotal mark in building muscle and the egg has become almost symbolic for bodybuilders. If you're a bodybuilder, chances are that you have had a raw egg shake or two! Thank goodness for many athletes that egg protein supplements today are available without the runny, slimy raw texture to swallow.
Egg protein is loaded with vitamins and nutrients that feed the muscles and tissues allowing for muscles to become stronger. There is a large amount of protein in eggs, which make it one of the highest concentrations of protein available on the market. Protein is a very important part of any bodybuilder's nutritional diet.
Most people don't realize how important protein is for the body. The level of protein must be maintained and as a general rule, that level should be quite high. More specifically, protein makes up the majority of the human body. Armed with that information, it is only natural for one to add extra protein such as egg protein when building muscle strength and mass. Protein in the body helps repair sore or torn muscles which is much of the reason why a weight trainer will take a protein supplement before such a training session. This gives the body extra protein that is needed when doing pumps and other rigorous muscle training. Protein promotes healing from these intensely straining activities and feeds muscle fibres in order to prevent injuries from occurring. Increasing protein content is key to being successful with weight and strength training.
As mentioned in the first paragraph, egg protein is an excellent source of vitamins and nutrients. Protein isn't the only reason that bodybuilders take a supplement. There are such vitamins as Vitamin A, E and K and even contains a hint of Vitamin B12 which is responsible for increasing energy. Folic acid, riboflavin and amino acids are also packed into the egg supplement. The oldest supplement available is still the most well-rounded and beneficial supplement known to the bodybuilding community.
Although eggs in general became an issue of controversy a while back, egg protein is still one of the very best supplements to afford the body many essential vitamins and nutrients. Part of the reason it became a hot topic in the fitness community is because of the myth that eggs can cause high cholesterol, clogged arteries and other health problems. Having said that, the egg white contains zero grams of fat so the egg white is an excellent form of protein. The egg yolk does contain about five grams of fat but more than half of those grams are essential unsaturated fats.
This is a sufficiently healthy supplement without the added saturated fats that make this one of the oldest and best supplements available. Tested over time and a hot commodity to date, it is any bodybuilder's choice to build healthy muscle mass and strength.

Just the yoke has cholesterol. Many healthy, low fat foods have cholesterol. Dietary cholesterol, that is the kind you consume directly from food, is not nearly as bad as the kind that your body forms form saturated and trans fats - these are what you should be looking for on food labels and avoiding. Sugar is not always bad. The refined sugar, in white sugar, juice, candy, junk food, is bad bc it is simple, easily broken down by the body, and causes spikes in blood glucose. In fruit the sugar is not bad for several reasons: fruits have many nutrients; fruits have fibre which takes long to digest; fruits have way less sugar than candy. Sugar, inexcess, itself is bad, even without fat. It has calories and causes spikes in blood sugar, which causes large amounts of insulin to be produced by the pancreas - eventually the pancreas can become worn down and lose the abiltiy to produce insulin, or your cells can become resistant to insulin - ie-diabetes
