Yes, tattoos hurt even if it's just writing a word. Its a little bundle of needles jamming in and out of your skin for minutes at a time. But they don't hurt like you think they will. To me, it feels like a cat scratch at first and then like a sunburn later. More annoying than painful.

I decide upon photos over textual content of any kind however each are k while performed tastefully, good and artisitcally.
