Perfectly normal. Most women who are exclusively breastfeeding (no formula, no solids, no bottles, etc.) will go at least 6 months without a period. Of course, there are always exceptions, which is why you have to be careful about getting pregnant again just in case.

With my first, I got my period back after 6 months. With my 2nd, it was 11 months. With my 3rd, I went a whole year without getting another period (woo hoo! :-) ).

I had my daughter on March 3rd, I've also been breastfeeding and I just had a mini-period, only two days. Anyway, it's common for nursing women to not get a period at all while they continue to breastfeed, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

no a lot of breastfeeding mothers don't get their period for a while, some until they wean their babies. I got mine back when my son was 9 months old, and that is when he was eating about 3 solid meals a day.

I had my son on March 9th, and I haven't gotten one yet either. I am breastfeeding as well. It may not come until you wean your son. Even then, it probably won't be regular. There really is no telling!

My baby was around 10 months old when I got my period back...and it is still irregular now at 18 months....if you are worried about being pregnant just take a test....and it can happen...a friend of mine was 100% nursing and got pregnant 5 weeks after she had her baby...she now has a 11 month old and is 38 weeks pregnant....
