Do you believe in reincarnation and old souls?

I know lots of people who feel much the same.

There are a number of religions who believe that this is exactly what happens.

I remember going to a bible course once, and the minister teaching it also pointed out that in the New Testament there was a section that suggested reincarnation was possible. We spent many hours discussing it.

You very well could have lived in a previous era, come back rather quickly, and then had strong memories just below the surface that could not be entirely recalled except through emotional response.

I believe you entirely in this.

So often people call each other an "old soul" without really thinking it through, however. It could be that humans reincarnate hundreds of times or thousands of times, and you and I could be just on lifetime number twenty.

One wise lady once said, "If you say you are an Old Soul, I ask you, do you speak all languages?"

It's just a fascinating subject, isn't it?

I believe in reincarnation but I also believe that most of us are old souls. What may people call old souls is more about having the memories of past lives closer to the surface.

As for living in the 60's I doubt it. In my belief system most older or more advanced souls take a longer period (than you would have from the 1960s) to review and process the previous incarnation. It is the younger or less advanced souls which return rapidly out of the intense desire for experience.

I remember fragments from a couple of previous lives.

I'm pretty firm in my belief in reincarnation, I haven't had any specific experiences, it just feels right to me. It makes more sense than any of this Heaven/Hell stuff.

If you're feeling frustrated about it, I would definitely recommend Michael Newton's books, "Journey of Souls" and "Destination of Souls". It's about the case studies he did using hypnotherapy for past-life regression. Whether you believe in his methods or not, it's a very inspiring book that really helped me obtain peace spiritually. I found my copies at Barnes n' Noble in the New Age section.

People have told me I'm an old soul before, but I just think it's because I don't have any social skills. xD

but old souls ... what is this, never heard of this until now.

I believe in reincarnation and it doesn't bother me the way it does you.

you seem to allow your past life to get in the way of the present. This could be real or fake.

If it is real, so you were here in the 60s. Get on with your life NOW.

If it is fake, satan could be playing with your mind. You don't want to go that way, believe me. If you're unhappy, then satan could hv something to do with it.

I don't know if i believe in souls being recycled through bodies like that, but who am I to say? I have no way of knowing. But i know what it is like to have a feeling of past times and present times almost merging into one. Our minds our incredibly complex, so I can't believe something that i have no scientific proof for, but at the same time i like to wonder.

yes the soul is reincarnated many times till it achieve final salvation. So it is very much possible that your soul has the imprints fron the past life that keep appearing when you refrence anything connected to that time.

Yes I have heard about people being killed and then born again with marks on their body or memories from their past life!

It was scary.. (Unsolved mysteries and another show that I don't remember the name of right now)..

I feel that anything is possible..

yes i do believe in old souls i myself feel as though i have been reincarnated to earth many times going all the way back to babylon and atlantis.
