Where can I get info about laws with divorce and what are your rights when dealing with social services?

For the state of Kentucky. I've looked around but haven't found anything that I'm really looking for. I'd appreciate your help! Also if your in the military is it possible to recieve full custody and your a man? I've heard that if your a man and your in the military you can't have full custody. Any info on this would be great, thanks!

Update:

Serious answers please! and no I'm not getting a divorce I'm just helping a friend...even though that's really none of your business!

If you are going through a divorce involving a child and if you are dealing with social services, you need to consult an attorney. Trying to guess your way through this, with the help of strangers online, is not going to be successful.

Use the lawyer referral service of the Kentucky State Bar:

talk to a lawyer, or if you're a military spouse then you can talk to the ADC (area defense counsel) on base

When I had some legal issues of my own (as a military member) I sought advice from both civilian and military lawyers.

Just talk to everyone you can find who has REAL PROFESSIONAL advice. That's what I did.

What you need to be looking for is a Family Law Attorney. There is basically no way in hell you can do this on your own.

And it sounds like CPS/DFS is involved, which only complicates matters tremendously.

Screw the money, you NEED an attorney.
