Wedding on 10/10/2010?

My fiance and I are planning our wedding, obviously, and we want it to be a little way in the future. We were thinking about October 10, 2010. We want to have it in the fall because we live in Arizona, and it is way too hot the rest of the time (we pretty much don't have Springtime) and it's too windy and cold in the winter. Plus, the 10th is a Saturday, so more people will be able to go than on a weekday. :]

Do you think that the date 10/10/2010 will be way too overused for weddings that year? Do you think it's cliche to pick the date that lines up like that... 10/10/10?

Update:

Hahaha.

You know, my mom told me that it was a Saturday, and I didn't even bother to look yet. lol. Go me.

10/10/10 isn't cliche or anything. It is a Sunday, but it's Columbus Day weekend, so many people will have the following Monday off. My brother is getting married that weekend as well. He's already booked his venue and church, because he expected a rush on the date.

October and March are the best months in Arizona. Go for it.

There may be more weddings happening that day then usual because of the 10/10/10, but it's a Saturday anyway and thats the most popular day of the week for a wedding. I don't think it's cliche, I think that 07/07/07 was cliche. I mean really the number 7 as a "lucky" number is so overrated haha.

I think your smart for planning ahead like that. I also understand what you mean about the time of year. My husband and I were married 22 years ago today, in Mesa Arizona. 122 degrees that day, yeah fall is way better. Hey if you like the date that is all that matters, who cares if someone thinks it is a cliche, is your day. Saturday is a great day too. Good luck and congratulations.

LOL. The Saturday - Sunday thing is funny.

But you can still get married on a Sunday.

The only thing I suggest is start booking the vendors like yesterday because people are CRAZY about this date. Vendors will book very far in advance.
