Kitten symptoms? trembling?

I need to know if anyone has any idea what the following symptoms, in a kitten, might indicate. Today (Saturday) my husband and I found an apparently lost kitten. We think it is about 6 weeks old. It's playful but it seems to have some kind of eczema or something: it's fuzzy and yellow but it has almost no fur on its ears and it also has bald patches on the toes and the tail. The insides of its ears are filthy. We have not seen it scratching, though. The most worrisome thing is that although it seems alert and pretty friendly, it trembles slightly as if it's got a fever or a chill, much of the time -- even though the weather is warm. The reason we didn't take it to a vet right away is that it's Saturday and the emergency vet is super expensive so if we can wait till monday we will do that. the kitten is eating, drinking water and seems comfortable but the tremor worries us.

It may have ear mites, the skin loss could be mange (if it's sarcoptic, not demedex very catching to other animals and people-- wash your hands whenever you are done touching it) It may just have hair loss from a poor diet, malnutrition, scracthing from fleas, allergies, The list can get pretty long. If the kitten does not appear to be in any apparent distress, waitnig until monday to get it checked should be just fine.

It sounds like the kitten has ear mites. Kittens are very prone to ear mites which can spread and cause bald spots on its body. It might also have mange.

I would say that the tremors could be from being scared and anxious. Being a little kitten, lost, that would not surprise me.

You have done great rescuing this poor little kitten. If she is eating and drinking I would not worry.

Once you take her to the vet, if she has ear mites or mange it can be treated and cleared up in no time, these things are easily cured.

Good Luck with you new kitten

we saved a poor kitten too. ours had little hair on ears too w/ raised blackish scars but we just left it alone and w/i 2 weeks or so it healed up. she probably has mites and the eggs are in that black stuff. as soon as it comes, take a piece of toilet paper and gently wipe the inside ear but not too deep. then put that in a ziploc bag, throw away. our cat also had sores in between her toes w/ no hair. 2 times a day take a peroxide and water solution on a Q-tip and dab, then rinse w/ water. should clear up in few weeks. w/ the tremor ahe may just have been abused and scared. try not to "overpower" her and be nice-use sweet voice.. if it continues for more than 1 1/2 -2 weeks go to vet, but u can also get a lot of info online!! hope i helped!

probably just could. & maybe purring hard can make kitten look like shaking. Flea infestaion can cuase no hair on ears... Defeninetly needs to be brought to vet. Just you taking it in & caring for it is helpful...maybe place old towel or blanket by it so it can cuddle up!

You could always get a baby-johnsons shampoo & bathe it tomorrow. & get cat wipes- for ears!!! You found yourself a baby...

Hope the vet helps more on Monday- good luck!
