House Health-Care Proposal Adds $600 Billion in Taxes and $400 billion cuts to Medicare Medicaid?

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&si...

I'm beginning to think Obama sees his health care monopoly as a money making venture, as with commercial monopolies.

What do you think?

    Yes, I agree with you.

His idea of nationalizing healthcare is very troubling I must admit.

Here in France, we have it. At the beginning it worked fine. But then it began to deteriorate quickly. And now, we're basically paying sky high taxes to fund a health care bureaucracy which is not nearly as efficient as left-wing Americans like to believe.

Beware of this idea of "universal healthcare": the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I'm excited with the way the government has handled medicare and caid and also social security, what could be better? ARE THEY INSANE? IS THERE ANY INTELLIGENT LIFE IN WASHINGTON?

It could be a money making thing but he may change that. With medicaid you used to hae to pay a dollar for a visit, as I have stated before, but now the rate for a doctor visit is $3 and it has cut into the visits.

i cannot see why do this with such an outstanding bill we already have and as far as the taxes he has several options, cut the IRS as it cost what 60 cents on the dollar to collect or he can actually investigate the estate attorneys and cpas that set up the bogus estate plans and drop the liability of their clients from 100% to 10%. With the Bush estate exemptions, they basically pay nothing in that event. In normal times they pay 10% or nothing. It is as corrupt as it can be. How it starts is with the local court systems and the attorneys owing them and then "trickles" up. Then like on the gulf coast here you see the federal judges getting busted. Unfortunately that was basically directed toward the "trial" attorneys. OH well just wanted 'b".

    Have a great everything!

Oh yea. Remember that Nelson (who ever he was didn't play) the first game and see the differenc he made the second one. Well I figure they (Orland) covers the 2-, also Cleveland should win and be over 8 runs scored in the game. The San Fran game will have over 7 runs scored.

Also first time Southern mississippi has made it to the World series and have come from behind in every game they have played. 5-0 and today playing number one Texas.

Does anyone know where the $600 billion in taxes will come from? That would most likely be the National Sales Tax and Value-Added Tax that Obama wants to get implemented immediately. As for the $400 billion in tax cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, those cuts will be quickly returned to Medicaid with a Universal Health Care program (since it will be an expanded form of it).

So far, the government has a control vestment in the banking and automotive industries. Why not add the health care and medical industry to the list?

SIDE NOTE: Looking at the implementation for both the National Sales Tax and VAT, I guess people who don't make over $250,000 need to buy anything to survive. Oh wait, they do. In other words, those tax breaks Obama promised will be flushed down the toilet all in the name of socialism. Woohoo! (yes, that exclamation was sarcasm).

Hmmm. Don't I remember hearing something on the campaign trail about no new taxes (for the lower and middle classes) to pay for that health care??????

Didn't Obama say he would pay for it by rolling back the Bush tax cuts for the elite? Was he lying?

    What were the democrats thinking.

Meanwhile ... TRILLIONS have gone to the bankers and the corporate elite .... and President Obama received more campaign funding from Wall Street than any president in history.

The koolaid should be starting to taste like sour grapes by now. If not, some people have problems with their taste buds.

"...will include $600 billion in tax increases and $400 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid..."

That right there, all by itself, pumps such confidence into my heart, I swear I glow in the dark all the way to my belly button.

Somebody please wake me up. I don't find this nightmare amusing.

Then, I'll land. Enjoy the vid.

Obama's health care plan will be the death of our system. He claims that we can keep our current plan if we like it. So, WHEN our currently plan can't compete with the government, how fast will they file bankruptcy and then we are force to go with the government plan? Or, WHEN they tax our health benefits, how fast will we be forced to go with the government plan?

    This is WRONG!

  • There is some pretty unnecessary medicare spending. Although these new taxes are something like rape.

I think employers should be required by law to offer health insurance to all employees, temporary and part time included.

If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable! This makes as much sense as buying our own debt.
