2nd membrane sweep today?
Im 37wks, 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced, and had my second membrane sweep today. I know each woman goes at her own pace, but my DR is going on Vacay and i really dont want to be delivered by a DR that doesnt know me. Ive already lost mucus plug, and all afternoon ive been out walking around at the mall and other stores, just trying to move things along. I guess what i want to know is, how many mommies out there went into labor after a membrane sweep, and how soon? Im going to try a few things later with hubby, but i just wanted some encouragement. And yes i know,. she will come out when ready... blah blah blah

At 38 weeks I was 4cm 80% and had a membrane sweep. Was in labor the next day.

Of course you want your own doctor to deliver the baby, but as long as the doctor who does it knows what he/she is doing, it doesn't really matter if the doctor knows you.
I've had two kids and I have no idea what a membrane sweep is. I guess this is another new pregnancy thing--my sons are in their 20s.
Walking is probably the best thing you can do, but as long as you end up with a healthy baby, it won't matter when the baby comes or who delivers her.
