Does anybody else in the world suport the bravery of the people of Iran .?

It takes great courage to face down a radical dictatorship hell bent on retaining power no matter what the cost in lives , Many years ago i travelled through there , i found the people open honest Intelligent and very hospitable , And have watched in despair what has happen to Persia in the last 30 years , but they have now retained my faith in there society.

Thank you squire for posting this question.

I fully, 100% support these people for speaking out. Any people that are under an oppressive government such as Iran deserve serious respect for potentially risking their lives.

It is also greatly pleasing to see this, knowing the Iranian powers-that-be must be squirming and seriously humiliated to see their iron-grip, albeit temporarily, corroded to a weak clasp.

I just really hope that this time, a dictatorship knows the world is watching - because in the back of my mind, two words lurk with real fear - 'Tianamin Square'...

You bet I do. People in free countries talk a big talk but it is something else to protest knowing you might be beaten or killed. I don't believe the number of deaths that have been reported as I'm sure they are much higher.

I cherish my freedom so very much and agonize knowing there are people in the world who cannot freely speak, worship or do all the thing we take for granted.

    Thank you for your question.

I have sympathy for the bravery but I do not understand.

I see small groups of youngsters attacking institutions which look like militia compunds. The youngsters attack with stones or rags on fire.

So normally they don't have chances. The shooters stay on rooftops and shoot without warning. It looks tragicomic.

If somebody is injured, a camera is readily available to film the injured guy. It's surreal.

Yes I do. Don't listen to Big River - he's damaged goods. Never a nice thing to say about anyone - except the BNP!

I've known quite a few Iranians - to a fault they've all been friendly, interesting and intelligent. I hope they manage to sort things out.

Sure, but it's important for foreigners not to interfere too much, as the hard liner fundamentalists in Iran are always looking to blame the current revolution in progress on "outside influences".

There incredible, in the face of such power they stand up and even if there is a possibility of death for there beliefs they stand tall I don't know if I would be as courageous, more power to them!
