petition for a separate section for abortion on Y!?
I know this is in the wrong section but I'm trying to get as many signatures as I can.
I asked a question yesterday asking if people agree that abortion should be given a separate section as for a lot of women it is upsetting to see these questions on the pregnancy page where women are trying for babies or have lost babies.
It would also stop people from abusing those who disagree with abortion.
It was suggested that I make a petition so that Y! may consider making abother section for it.
So here is my petition, I hope I get a lot of signatures and I appreciate every one of them.
The petition link is:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/give-ab...
People keep saying 'if you dont want to read it, dont' But all questions have a header. So they will be read.
Mel: If you had read it properly I said at the beginning that I knew it was in the wrong catogory, I need signatures. So if you didnt want to answer this why read it?
And I regularly use this section, when did it become yours???

I can see where you're coming from but from what I understand Y!? is about everyone having the right to ask questions they may not want to ask anyone they know and for people to respond by giving their personal opinion.
It's tough but the fact that lots of people have abortions is an unfortunate part of our society today and I'm sure we all know it goes on regardless of whether or not it is on a web page we use or not.

A better idea would be for Yahoo! Answers to ban the entire subject.
Honestly, do women need other people telling them anything about their own bodies? Is this old argument new information to them?
The only ones who derive satisfaction out of it are those who long to criticize others.

Nope. A separate section will only increase abuse of women who seek information on safe and legal abortion services. Sorry, but I see more abuse from those who wish to impose their opposition of abortion on to others than I see abuse towards those who 'disagree with abortion.'

Hey, if women who are considering having an abortion aren't willing to hear opinions of people who think abortion is murder, they're too immature to be on Y!A in the first place. Anyone who's considering murdering their child should have enough of a backbone to put up with a few comments about them being murderers.

Nope.
Based on your reasoning we should just have "That type of question disturbs me" section.
