Had n.s.t today. Low amniotic fluid?
I had my first Non stress test today, Im 38wks along with first baby. They said everything looked great, then did an u/s to check my fluid levels. The CNM said my fluid levels were a little low, and Im going back in again on Monday for another NST and fluid check. I was told that if my levels were still low, that i would be staying and having the baby then and there.
Any other Mommies had to deal with this before? I know to take it easy and drink plenty of water, Ive got a huge bottle sitting right in front of me. Just looking for some support. Thanks!!!!
They said my fluid was at a 6, and that the baby was only around 6.5 lbs or so. I guess they just wanna make sure because ive been having BP problems

did they tell you what your fluid level was? i had a NST last week, and had my fluid checked and it was 8, as long as its 5 and more your good, obviously your fluid isnt to low considering the fact they let you go home and didnt induce you today which they should've if your fluid is to low, i have to go on monday for a NST again too because im overdue and they want to check the placenta and fluid...goodluck & congratulations

My first NST they said the same thing...that the amniotic fluid level was low (8) and if it dropped anymore they'd schedule an early induction. BUT I went back three days later for another NST and the level jumped to a 14! I was told that measurements can be off by a lot on an ultrasound and can be misread due to baby's positioning.
Anyway- hope that helps ease your mind. If it were too low they would have induced right away. Just pay attention to your baby's movement until your next appt. There is no amount of water you can drink to increase your amniotic fluid- that's what I was told by my doc.

I had this with my first they told me my fluids where low and my baby was 4lb so started me of BIG MISTAKE it was the worst labor ever the pain was astonishing (iv had a totally naturally birth since) i was feed every drug you can think of then they said they would have to do a c-section but thank god he decided to come after 8 hours he was born weighing 6lb 3 and midwife reaction was "hes not small" (and im 5ft 7 and weigh 140 pounds) if i had the choice again i would say no to being started of like that it made matters worse so much so i was scared of giving birth again but thank god i knew what i could say no to and had a 3 day labor and gave birth in a birthing pool and that was the best labor i could of asked for. remember you have a choice and the average baby is around 7 to 8 pound so 6lb 5 is not small
PS they told me my second was going be 10lb and he was 8lb 6 so they dont get it right always

Its eye-catching obtrusive whom you are able to properly be vote casting for. If I too wanted one greater Bush term i could evaluate you. If Republicans ever had to concentration on the topics, they could lose. Palin is in simple terms a female variation of George Bush: rigid, unqualified and an opportunist masquerading as a populist.

I've never had this happen, but my son was engaged and ready to go and was induced that night and everything happened VERY fast and I just wanted to wish you my very best. Everything will work out just fine for you and your dear little baby. Good luck and congratulations in advance!
