question about ovulation...?

my hubby and I are off the pill and I should be ovulating right now...but I was wondering if it is normal that after you get off the pill and ovulate could you get some slight traces of blood in the mucus? This is a whole new thing for me so thanks for the help...

It isn't at all uncommon for many women to have some spotting when they ovulate - especially if you're just coming off of a hormone-based birth control method. Doing so can cause fluctuations in your hormone balances, which can cause spotting during ovulation and shortly before your period is due. The cause is due to the increase in estrogen, which matures the egg in the ovary, causes egg white cervical mucus and allows your uterus to slough to start a new cycle. Good luck to you!

I used to get pink tinged creamy mucus on the day i ovulated, then for some reason it stopped, but i was charting my BBT so i always knew my ovulation day anyway. It's completely normal though.
