HELP!! Lump on male cat; hind leg?
My male cat Tiger has a lump on the inside of his hind leg. He is de-clawed, and never goes outside. The lump is oval shaped, and about the size my thumb. He is attached to me (all 3 of my indoor cats are) and the funny thing is I never noticed it yesterday or any other day. I take great care of him, so I'mthinkingg that if it were older than a day or two I would have seen it before now. HELP please! What could it be, and what are characteristics of possible causes? Also, he doesn't seem to be in pain. He would let me touch the leg for a few seconds, but he doesn't like his limbs touched anyway. PLEASE HELP! I also plan on getting him our vet to our house (he does house calls) ASAP
p.s Catherine S., I thought the same thing, they play and bite all the time. Strange position for a bite. Also, all my cats are shorthairs
He is getting a Class 1 Lumpectomy on Tuesday
Hopefully it is nothing serious

Your cat lives with two others. Correct. Is there any possibility that the three were playing and perhaps your cat got injured, infection set in and you now notice it. That would be a good case scenerio and your vet can take care of it.
On the other hand, there is the possibility of cancer, the word none of us want to hear but, it is there.
Go to the vet immediately and he will take the necessary biopsy to see what you are dealing with or advise otherwise.
Relieve your anxiety and that of the cat.

GO 2 THE VET!!!! my cat Shadow has had this lump several times and went to the vet each time and had it cut out. shadow LOVES my dad and wont let go of him either. it is from a bite (a rat bite in shadows case) that is infected or going infected.be careful with him and if it is what i think it is take extra care! call the vet to make sure your pet will be safe!
ps: my cat is simeese so it may not be this.....

it is probably a tumor my cat had a tumor on his leg they don usually have to be taken off unless they are cancerous, but you can have it taken of if you choose make sure to have the vet look at it asap just in case it is cancerous.
