Would miscommunication, peer influence, and difference in generation cause conflict between teens and parents?

Of course. People miscommunicate all the time. Different people take things different ways. And I'm sure my daughters peers will be different from the ones I had as a teen. I may not approve of some of the things they do (when she becomes a teen). Me not approving of her friends would surely cause conflict. And I believe the generation gap would also be a cause for conflict. I get annoyed at some of the things I see teens doing nowadays but I'm sure teens themselves see what they do as completely normal. And they probably see people my age (late 20's) doing things that annoy them but we see it as normal also. Different generations=different mindsets. Society changes with every generation and not everyone sees it as a good change.

Miscommunication is number one because without communication you lose touch with your kid. If you keep communication it becomes easier to keep touch and understand each other better,

Influence by other teens; hell yeah no need to go into that. Its all about fitting in.

And generation difference...things back in the day aint the same as it is now so what parents expected back then is so far from what teens do now.

Take it from me, i'm 15 and all this has lead me to have it with my parents all the time.
