monitor has no sound when vga mode?
i got a new monitor hp 22 inch lcd 2159m i got the directv (hdmi) plug in to the monitor got sound when its in the hdmi mode but once i switch back to vga mode for the internet there is no sound at all ?

VGA cables do not support audio signals, only video. You would need to run a separate audio line.

This is because in VGA mode the sound cannot be carried through the HDMI cable.
