Ever since the Soviets began infiltrating American Society (50s, 60s) there has been a deliberate attempt to destroy the family. To do this the change agents had to dislodge the father from head of household. Various means have been used, for example "The Great Society" (Johnson) told women that if there was no father in the home the government would pay them. "The government will be the daddy now but you've got to keep that guy out of here."

The State will be authority over every individual and is a jealous God so no intermediary structures (like "family") will have standing.

The Feminist Movement teaches that men are evil and enlightened women should have no use for them. Well, except for those child support checks of course.

The banner of Equal Rights really meant that since men are no longer needed and are relegated to the status of an accessory, Women Rule! How dare a man attempt to exercise any control over her.

Don't get me started. An even greater threat to The State than the traditional family with man as head is an enlightened partnership of man and woman as co-Sovereigns. This arrangement is so tight it allows no gaps through which Government may intrude because there is no need for it. Here, the couple would be in agreement as to health matters so government is out of the loop completely. Such a system destroys all the last 50 years of Progressive's work toward converting Society into worker ants because it comes full circle to what human life could have been were it not for that old serpent (so to speak).

The current policy is consistent with every legal trend since the 60s, in that men don't count. Especially heterosexuall men. Especially if they are white. And most especially if they are in any way religious. The WASP man has long been the only group which not only can be discriminated against but it is required by law. It goes by many names, "affirmative action" is one good example. Hire the man last, especially if he is not a member of a protected minority.

The U.S. Supreme Court is getting close to being willing to tackle this policy of discrimination. But abortion is the Holy of Holies of the Left so this will take longer.

When a father can host a fetus and carry it to birth, then they have a right to choose. A woman has the right over her body. Now, do I think that abortion is a good idea - No. But I'd not take that choice from her. I would hope she would get counseling as many women really have major problems later on, and some find they can't have children. Many are looking to adopt babies so why not give it up for adoption so long as the mother's life is not in danger? But that is the woman's choice but she is also going to be accountable for making that choice.

Too many who would say a woman can't choose, would rather see her and the child die than for a woman to abort a fetus that may kill her (like tubal pregnancies). So no, others don't have that choice.

I just recently saw a show on tv addressing this issue. I see your point and do think the father should have some say either way, but that's just not the way it is. I guess the women is the person carrying the child and, therefore, they have the right to choose whether or not to keep the child. The man may want to keep the child, but they don't have to carry the child for 9 months and may not help out in the end, anyways.

i like how those questions are pretty much consistently asked by ability of adult males. you're able to hold around a infant in you for 9 months. and how approximately those oh so supportive boyfriends who pass away whilst oopsiessss I forgot to conceal up. and likewise i do no longer care what you're saying, abortion isn't homicide, on the time of abortion the fetus is fairly a cluster of cells, confident it could resemble a newborn, yet tell me this, how have been your strategies of being interior your mom whilst she grow to be 8 months pregnant? OH thats perfect, its impossible so you might do not forget. on the time of abortion the fetus isn't progressed right into a shifting, thinking, speaking organism. additionally think of of it this way, some pregnancies can placed a womans life in possibility, and that's considered if the newborn might have a start illness immediately. Bringing a newborn into the international unprepared is a plenty worse crime than abortion, in case you desire to call it against the regulation. it is not trouble-free for little ones to return right into a relatives the place the be certain grow to be unprepared, with little money, no job, and no training. confident there is adoption, yet coming from experience, its no longer a good element to take heed to 'Oh, mommy did no longer desire you whilst she grow to be youthful so she gave you away.' Adoptions are superb issues, yet no longer whilst its a effect of an unpredicted being pregnant. adult males could placed themselves into womens shoes for as quickly as, you like the freakin fetus, pass forward and shove it out your damn hollow. and characteristic relaxing with that, its plenty worse than getting kicked interior the balls i will assist you to realize that.

I think both parents should have a say so but it's not always the case especially when the mothers are young or in a difficult situation. I think it's only right because it is half their child too but when it comes to deciding to kill a baby I guess nothing is really fair, right? I think there is so much controversy because not all women think the fathers are gonna be there for them anyway and since stats prove that correct then I guess they think why bother.

I wouldn't say the father has no say in the matter, it's just that ultimately the final decision is hers. It's her body, her life, a year of her time, she's taking the risks (pregnancy and labour aren't a walk in the park). Most courts also give custody to the mother as a kind of default, so if the couple ever divorce she'll have to raise them.

Overall it's a much larger responsibilty/burden for her.

It's sad in some cases, but the father is not the one who carries the child, goes through the pregnancy, child birth and labor, etc.

I'm sitting on the fence on this one... I'm not saying if I'm for or against abortion, I really don't like discussing this topic at all.

But I do believe both parties have a say in the matter. They both created the baby after all.... depending on the situation of course.

I think it is really messed up. I mean, what if the guy is truly invested and wants the baby, and she just goes and murders it??

Too bad no one says, MEN'S choice, all bc they can't carry the baby. I bet he would in that situation, if he could.

Really sad. Think of all the abortions that might not have happened if a girl had said, Okay, you want it that bad, I'll have it and sign away my rights...

Cynthia hit the nail on the head. If I were in the situation and the father were in my life, I'd talk to him about it, and we'd reach a conclusion, but until the man is the one carrying the burden, I'll make decisions about my own body.
