  • I have been noticing a trend. Every time I forward an email from "Vote Ron Paul" I have to "verify" that I am?

not a spammer. The following message appears "Verification

I wouldn't even have a thought in the world about this EXCEPT that I noticed it happening overwhelmingly to mails having to do with Ron Paul. Sometimes it also does it with stories from "Politico"...but it is rare for it to happen to any other type of forwarded message and I am finding that increasingly bizarre. I have been watching this for a few months and I know this is not a coincidence...can't be...the odds of that are ridiculously high. Have any of you noticed this with your accounts?

We are seeing strange things in the political arena these days and I am not a conspiracy theorist but this seems really unusual to me. We have a Congressman urging our President not to make an "enemies list" as Nixon did. We are seeing our WH on talk shows urging stations to "boycott" Fox News and to "not pick up their stories". We are hearing about our President pushing for control over the internet for "cyber security" reasons. I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that people who openly disagree (even regular citizens aka "We the People") with the Presidential policies are being "flagged" or "watched". Any thoughts on this?

  • Is it to much to expect even the simplest form of honesty from our new president?

This has got to be a joke between the closest pals in the new administration. Kind of like playing the "Meow Game" they played in Super Troopers....same kind of mentality...would be funny if it weren't so serious maybe...nah...wouldn't be funny ever. These people are playing with our lives and it is beyond insulting at this point.

  • The Census is NEXT year! Have any of you had similar experiences?

Earlier this year I had a census taker come to my house, walk all the way to the back yard where the kids were playing, initiate a conversation with the kids, and not once came to my door. I only knew she was there because I went to check on the kids and found a stranger with them. I have a 5 acre yard so she had covered a considerable amount of ground to talk to the kids. She had a government badge around her neck, gave me her name and stated that it didn't seem right that we were a single family. She needed to be told a number of times that there was no one else living with us, either in our pole barn or garage or even the basement. She questioned my address and the fact of whether or not I knew my own address because she would know if the enhanced 911 was already in progress. Enhanced 911 came about to do away with some rural route addresses that could be considered within the town limits and making it considerably easier to find in case of an emergency. I had to explain that the only notice I'd received about the Enhanced 911 was in the form of a letter from the post office telling us of the new address. I told her I would get it for her but she declined. She left me with papers that stated I would receive information in the mail and that I would be fined if I failed to file them or something of that nature. I never received anything in the mail concerning a census. Maybe she got the address wrong; afterall, I only clarified it 3 or 4 times. Her badge was authentic or a very good imitation. I have no idea what any of it was about but if the papers were correct, they stated there were penalties if I didn't comply. I do think she was an actual government employee, one who embodies the exact nature of why our system is falling apart.

I posted this several days ago in answer to another census question and since then have learned that ACORN is running around the country asking lots of UNCONSTITUTIONAL questions to unsuspecting citizens. I know of one other exact (except that she was asking many questions about his neighbors!) situation that happened about 20 miles from my house and only a few days ago! This other individual that this happened to said they had a GPS with them. I didn't notice when this lady was at my house. Any thoughts?

  • Is there any hope of getting one who lies to stop lying to you?

Is this a sign of disrespect to the one getting lied to? Or is it some God-awful character flaw that can never be repaired? Both? It is not even always big things either, oftentimes it is such stupid stuff that I can not believe one would go to such lengths to lie about it. What causes this and how can I make it stop?

  • Has anyone heard anything from Monsanto lately?

I just did the question search and found that the last question about Monsanto was 8 months ago. Does anyone have current information or even just opinions on the behemoth?

  • Monetary security or emotional security?

I know there are many women who think that "depending" on a man for either of these is just plain wrong but...IF you had to choose one of these and not have the other, which would you choose to have from your mate? Is it better to never have to stress over bills & money or to always know that your husband/boyfriend is head-over-heels for you and would never think of life without you? I know my opinion...mind sharing yours? Men, feel free to offer your opinions as well! Thanks!

  • Is Obama inspiring the youth of the world?

I work with this guy who is an avid Obama fan. I, personally, am not. He keeps asking me how I feel about Obama inspiring so many young people around the world and keeps citing Iraqis as an example. I don't want to offend my co-worker but he is a challenge to talk to sometimes. I am not even sure of what point he is trying to make so I have kind of evaded a clear answer. Am I the only one missing the point? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Would you rather go down swinging or just standing there?

I am referring to the apathy I see so much of concerning all things political, such as: bailouts, sovereignty, too much government control, etc. I am not an Obama fan and can not understand why so many people feel that their voices don't count anymore. I'd rather go down swinging personally. Any ideas why some want to just stand there?
