MinKyu is written 민규 in Korean (HanGeul) and it's pronounced Min-Gyu.
The 'min' is right, but the 'kyu' isn't really an accurate part of the pronunciation.
edit: agree with person above, looks like I was a minute late to post

The pronunciation is quite hassle-free. Mi is stated same because of the fact the be conscious "me" in English. solar is, stated, precisely like the English be conscious "solar". The meaning, although, could be little perplexing. The Korean language, although we've diverse alphabet, speech, and so on. is initially in line with chinese language. the two Korean words Mi and solar are Korean pronunciation of a few chinese language characters. There are circumstances the place extra desirable than one (and each so often quite plenty) of chinese language characters that are stated precisely same in Korean. so which you're able to would desire to understand which chinese language characters those 2 words got here from. The Korean words Mi and solar, in and of themselves have no meaning as Korean words. basically once you realize which chinese language characters they got here from will you realize, b/c the chinese language characters are those that easily has meaning linked to them. enable's in simple terms say there are 3 chinese language characters that are stated as "Mi" in Korean. you're able to would desire to understand which of those 3 the guy became named for. Sorry, probably little convoluted. this is a quite call.

You get it right already. Min as in minute or mint. And Kyu as Q in English. Wish you a happy meeting with him.

My cousin has the same name! Wow, coincidence. Unless you're in New York, because that's where he's going...:O
I'd suggest pronouncing it like Ming-gyu. While some Koreans write the "G" sound as a "K" in English, usually it'll sound closer to a G. For example, the last name Kim isn't actually pronounced like "Kimberly" in Korean; it's closer to "Gim." Pronounce his name like Ming so it rhymes with "ping" in "ping pong" and Gyu so that it rhymes with "cue". It shouldn't sound like the English "Q." Practice saying it like it's one word instead of two distinct syllables.

when you say "Min" it would be like "meen" (long 'e' sound)
when you say "Kyu" you would say it like your saying "cute"
so your right, you say it like the english letter "Q"
