September 2 1945. VJ day. This was the day the japan surrendered, officially ending ww2. All other "wars" since this date have been either used under the guise of conflict, or the president using one of his executive implied powers to deploy troops without asking Congress's approval.

April 27th, 1952.
That was the day before the Treaty of San Francisco came into effect, formally ending World War II. We were technically still at War with the Empire of Japan up until that point.

This is the US, we haven't been out of war in a long time. We honestly never ended the war with N.Korea (there was no truce). We've been in the war on terror since 01 (includes Afghanistan and Iraq), plus we have had the internal war on drugs for decades.
I think a better question to ask would be: When was the last time US was not at war?

What time is it now?
That's your answer.
Korea. As part of UN, the US agreed to fight N. Korea. There is only a truce. We're still officially at war with them for the past 40 years.

May 15th, 1955, when the state of war with Austria from WW2 formally ended with the Treaty of Vienna.
The war itself had ended 10 years earlier, but the state of war was still in effect.
