Red Lipstick for fair skin?

I have fair(not extremely fair) skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. I want red lipstick, but I'm not sure what shade would work. Any suggestions?

red is one of the hardest colors to find for yourself, it all depends on the undertones in your skin, if you're lucky like me and just have paper white skin it's slightly easier to find a good red because you can USUALLY (Sometimes, not always.) just use straight up bright red, like MAC Russian Red like I use. But if your skin has pink, yellow, etc undertones it's a bit harder, epically since you have light hair. If you're warm with olive or yellow undertones, choose a lipstick with orange or brown tones. (Think brick red or fire-engine red.) If you're cool with pinkish or reddish undertones, pick a red lipstick with blue or pink tones. With red there are the cheaper brands out there, but it's a better idea to invest in the more expensive brands. It's not a have to, but it's a good idea.

For warmer toned skin I'd suggest -

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Red Hot

Borghese B Moisture Advanced Care Lipcolor in Maraschino

Too Faced Lipstick Lip of Luxury in Runway Red

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in True Red

    MAC Fresh Moroccan

    NARS Lipstick in Manhunt

Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick in Fire & Ice

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in British Red

Vincent Longo Velvet Riche Lipstick in Carnelian Whisper (I love this color so much.)

    For cooler toned skin -

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipcolor in Drumbeat Red

CoverGirl Continuous Color Lipstick in Classic Red

    MAC Russian Red

Vincent Longo Satin Matte Lipstick in Dakota Red

Too Faced Lipstick in Drop Dead Red

Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Hot Kiss

NARS Satin Lipstick in Afghan Red

    Laura Mercier Lipstick in Romance

    MAC Ruby Woo

depending on how full lips you have and what color of red you use, you could end up looking like the joker in batman.. so watch out, but overal red is a good color, makes teeth whiter. wouldn't use an all day wear application lipstick, maybe something that would rub off or come off with remover easily. try it and see if you like it or not, if not take it off and never wear it, if so get a better longer lasting version of the same color. what's the worse that can happen?

You can use an orange-red, or a red with a little blue (a cooler red). Mostly orange-reds with lighter skins, and cooler with darker. But I've found that fair skin can look great with both. So I suppose it's more of a preference now. I must not of helped much. ._.

Go for a more pink shade rather than a brick red, otherwise it will look too harsh with your skin. Also, make sure to blot after you apply for a more natural look. Hope I helped :)

Doesn't really matter what shade but make sure you use a blue undertoned color it will make you teeth appear whiter and top it off with A clear gloss

go for a bright red with an orange tinge. nothing dark or pinky unless you have pink untertones in your skin :) if you do..then go for a coral.
