uSE Dawn dish washing liquid.Poison Ivy is actually a reaction to the oil from the leaves. Dawn breaks down the oil on your skin and helps it to come off, then do not touch the clothes with your hands because you can get it back on your skin from clothes and pet fur, ect. Use gloves to put clothes in the wash. Once you get the blisters if they ooze or you scratch, the oil is still present. It speads fast if you are not very careful.

It should help soothe the itch, but first be sure to thoroughly was the affected area with soap and water to remove all the oil so you do not spread it to other parts of the body. After your bath you can also try applying some Calamine lotion to further soothe the itch.
