I can't help but agree there seems to be more to this than just setting off a bottle rocket or two!

If the issue is going to JD or jail just for shooting off fireworks illegally...I just don't see jail in the future.

However, if one bottle rocket landed on a house and created another "Chicago Fire" situation...I strongly urge a quick purchase of "Soap on a Rope!"

Depends where he was using them and what kind they were. In a crowded city like NYC, fireworks could easily start a fire, and the arrest would be justified.

In the suburbs, fireworks aren't going to start fires, so let the kid have his fun.

I live in lower NY, and when I was a kid, the worst that would happen is the cops would just take your firecrackers away. I hate to imagine what they do to kids these days.

  • That depends on a lot of things.

Like the rest of the story.....

If it was just "lighting fireworks" and that was as it seemed, No.

But as I said, I have a feeling there's more to the story.
