I think I have the answer that 1/2 the country has been seeking. Do you think I'm onto something here?
I keep hearing the news media and conservatives asking why it was that Romney lost the election. Well, about 2 months ago Obama had a fund-raising contest where you could play a game of pick-up basketball with him. They wanted you to donate to enter but you didn't have to (actually, he lied in the contest rules, but that's another story). So I entered but didn't donate. It sounded like fun and, hey, he IS the president. Anyway, I got 1 or 2 emails daily after that asking for donations. I still never donated BUT . . . . the day after the election, I got a final email. The president told me that his victory didn't happen by accident. He said that I was the reason for his win. So, there you have it. It's my fault. I appologize to everyone on the right. I should have never entered that contest.
2 AnswersElections9 years agoAm I alone feeling this way? Do others (liberal or conservative) find it terribly aggravating . . .?
. . . when someone claiming to represent the side in which you believe of an argument writes a bunch of race-baiting comments, statements with poor grammar or spelling or completely fictional assertions?
It drives me nuts and, as much as I love to have people on my side of the battle, I find myself wishing they would have just kept quiet. I think it leads to stereotyping and completely eliminates the possibility of an intelligent discourse. What say you?
7 AnswersPolitics9 years agoI'm okay with my starting QB so I'm thinking of trading for insurance at WR or RB?
I've got Fitzpatrick (Buf) as my back-up QB. I think on a buy week, I can pick up an equal caliber replacement so I'm considering picking up an extra RB or WR. I'm eyeing Beanie Wells, Brandon Jacobs and Robert Meachem. I think Colston may be on the down slide and Meachem is looking good in pre-season. Any thoughts?

states to pass legislation encouraging more fossil fuel usage and cows emitting methane and such? I mean, wouldn't it help solve their financial problems if more people decided to move up north to escape the effects of global warming?
5 AnswersGovernment10 years agoDo you think the people that laughed at partial privatization of Social Security when it came up ...?
... during Bush's presidency might see one of the benefits of it now that Obama is saying they might not send out checks next month unless the budget gets settled? Didn't Obama know when he "stimulated" the economy that they would have to deal with the debt ceiling eventually? Shouldn't they have put a little aside for people that have been paying into the system all their lives?
7 AnswersGovernment10 years agoCould it be that I'm the smartest person on the planet with all the answers to everything?
I've found, over the past few days, that I've been blocked from viewing the questions of several individuals. I don't really even know what I've done to offend them but it seems from the questions I've tried to view that these people have political viewpoints contrary to mine. Therefore, I'm posting this question and I will only allow people that completely agree with me to respond. I just can't stand to hear a viewpoint other than my own. So, if you don't agree with my premise, please block yourself from my questions.
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat is in instant hot chocolate that would produce this effect?
I have a white ceramic coffee mug at work that gets a lot of use. Over time it develops substantial brown stains inside it that are extremely difficult to remove. I can use dish soap, hot water and a scrubber and still not get all of the stain removed. However, if I fix a mug of hot chocolate using the packets of instant mix, I can rinse out the mug using only water and find that the brown stains have disappeared. What is in that stuff? Can it be doing the same thing to my stomach?
2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoSign says "Abort Obama, Not the Unborn". Illegal?
A man was pulled over by police in Enid, OK for having a sign on his car that says "Abort Obama, Not the Unborn". His sign was confiscated and he was notified that he was under investigation for making threats to the president. Later, he was visited by Secret Service agents at his home. His house was searched by the S.S. while his wife and 2-year-old child stood by. They were looking for evidence of his belonging to "hate groups". It was determined that he posed no threat to the president.

C. Where is the ACLU outrage at this?
D. What should the man do in light of the events?

Chicago, statistically has a poorer pass defense. However, the linebackers are usually the ones guarding the Tight-end. Which team has weaker linebackers at this point in the season?

My wife is hosting a get-together for some friends and it's my job to keep my son and myself away from the house for a few hours.
No skating rinks in town (ice or roller) and I don't really want to go the arcade (Chuck E. Cheese) route. There aren't any good children's movies in the theaters, either.

11 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat in the world is going on in London with these "respect" camps?
As many as 9,000 people have been detained in Respect Camps for "anti-social" behavior. The police even seem to have the right to take your personal property as well as forcebly remove you from your home and relocate you. As of now, the "anti-social" behavior is stuff like vandalism, loud music and the like which most people can agree is annoying. However, will it be much longer before the "anti-social" behavior definition expands to include racist remarks, anti-gay statements, anti-Islam remarks, etc.? Is Orwell giggling right about now?

18 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoThe high gas prices in the summer were supposed to be Bush catering to his cronies.?
Then, right before the elections, the gas prices went down. This was supposed to be Bush lowering the prices to influence the elections. I saw many posts saying as soon as the elections were over, the prices would shoot back up. It's the middle of January and gas in my area is now under $2.00 a gallon in some places and steadily dropping. How does that fit in with your conspiracy theories?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow much would a 1968 Mercedes 240 be worth?
I have an opportunity to get one and I was wondering the value 1.) as-is: Runs, needs paint, brake work, engine tuned, interior condition - fair (cracked dash) about 160,000 miles -- and, 2.) what I might be able to sell it for if I was to try to fix it up (either to a reasonable level or to a "restore" level).
2 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoHow do insurance companies determine replacement value for a computer?
We have a situation where burglars destroyed a desktop computer. The insurance coverage is for replacement, not depreciated value. The computer was a fairly old Dell (running Windows 98). Since the computer was outdated, do we use a bottom-of-the-line Dell for replacement value or do we base the value of it on the fact that it was a mid-range to high-end computer at the time of its original purchase?
