I suspect many more people are worried about the state of the nation and only pausing to talk about Michael Jackson. However, it is the news that is spending so much of its time discussing the funeral and going so far as to broadcast his memorial. I say it is sad when an extremely popular black kid (or any kid) decides to change his appearance as he grows up so that he looks more like a white woman. You know the guy was messed up from something in his life. Normal people do not go to the extents he did with his appearance or do the things he has been accused of doing.

Having said all of that, I just spent two minutes typing this and perhaps pondered it a couple of times over the past week... but I have thought long and hard about the state of our nation during that same time and long before.

Flags, 52% of what we call "Americans" today are Brain Dead socialist parasites that are sucking America dry. Some of those are not even American Citizens like that man setting in our White House. Wacko was the perfect new American, Non White, Non male (or close to it), Non heterosexual, and definitely not normal. That's where we have now arrived as a country. Bad is good, stupid is desirable, normal is old school, and out of date, and America was evil under the White Male's rule. Which they have now defeated. These are truly troubling times.

All through history there are examples of irrational behavior and mass hysteria over events like this. This is just another example of how easily people can be manipulated.

People can be made to believe almost anything, including the worship of a freak like Jackson. I have sympathy for the loss suffered by his family, but there are people dying every day. How the media can generate mass hysteria over an event like Jackson's demise illustrates how the masses can be victimized.

Most people don't seem to be able to think for themselves. They are sheep. The need to conform. They believe what they are told.

This is how the few control the many.

It is reprehensible that some people want to , ignore, excuse, condone or even praise the fact that a 50 year old grown men went on national TV and admitted before millions that he often slept in the same bed with other people's young children & saw nothing wrong with it merely because he was a celebrity who could grab his crotch as he danced aroung like a fool wearing a surgical mask over his face.

The media has been ignoring failure, corruption, and incompetence since 2000 (and arguably for the past 30 years)... What difference does a few days spent on Jackson make?

I agree it's stupid, but with hacks like Glenn Beck, Hannity, Greta, Scarborough, and O'Reilly (etc...) dominating the "news" channels, does this really surprise you?
