Should I get a Flying V guitar or Explorer guitar?
What do you think is cooler? I'm just talking about looks, not quality, price, or how good it plays.
If I got an Explorer it would probably be red and if I got a Flying V it would probably be black.

So...you don't care how it plays? I'm guessing this is just for posing in front of the mirror then...
That aside...one thing to keep in mind is that a Flying V is all but impossible to play sitting down (unless you put your knee in the middle of the V and point it up...which would then not look cool at all).
At least with an Explorer, you can sit down and play.
And I know you don't care about the tone, but I like the Explorer better in that department (I've owned both). More wood around then tail piece just sounds better to me.
Greetings from Austin, TX

personally i like the flying v. its cheaper too. i think the explorer is like 200 or 300 more. not really much considering youre spending like 1200 already, but still, its cheaper. they will sound almost alike the got very similar pickups. but id get the flying v, it just seems like it would be a better guitar as far as playability and price. but since you dont care about that stuff, its up to you. id make sure it was either black or white though, anything else seems sort of dumb.

Depends on the color. If you get the white/cream colored Explorer, it would look cooler. But if you don't like the cream-colored Explorer, the Flying V would be cooler.

individually, i could bypass with neither. i do unlike Gibsons anymore so why could i admire their decrease line? I do love my sixty 4 custom save Les Paul yet by using sort I play, (steel) i could bypass with the two an ESP, or a Jackson. My widespread guitar is a custom save ESP and different than for that i do no longer want yet another guitar, however I even have 6 and nevertheless play all of them. no longer attempting to gloat there, i replaced into in simple terms attempting to declare once you get a guitar, make it the main suitable guitar for you. bypass play the two guitars and notice which you like greater. in case you like the two, why the hell no longer purchase them. yet submit to in suggestions, are not getting a Gibson considering the undeniable fact that's a Gibson. you are able to like the Epiphone greater valuable, i do no longer understand. yet get in spite of's the splendid for you.

In response to the people saying "Who cares how it looks? pay attention to sound!" I'd like to remind them that except for looks, these are the same guitar.
And I'd definitely say the Explorer. The Flying V just lacks class.
