In Search of a Good Anime?

Question

Okay, I know there are like a million of these questions, and yet I'm going to ask it again. So yeah, I need some good animes to watch. I'll take manga suggestions too, but my anime muse is biting me in the rear right now, cause I'm too lazy to watch Naruto/Vampire Knight when I know I should catch up.

Here's a list of ones I've seen:
-Death Note
-Avatar the Last Airbender
-Ouran High School Host Club
-Eden of the East
-Naruto (though I read the manga mainly)
-Vampire Knight (In progress of reading/watching)
-Fruits Basket (watched up to ep 26, now reading) 

There are sooooooo many animes out there, and I have no idea where to start. When listing the animes, a brief description would be nice, like whether it's shoujo, shounen, sports, action, whatever. Thanks much!!

A boy named Kurosaki ichigo have been able to see ghosts all his life, and one day when his family is attack by a evil gohost(hollow) he get Shinigami(death god) powers from Kuchi Rukia a shinigami from soul society
