I am dating a boy. He is a good sort of person. He is also about 3 years older than me (I am 17, he will be turning 20 in a month). "Sam" has a lot of excellent qualities about him that I admire and love: we volunteer for the same program (it's where we met), he's a very outgoing person who doesn't hate anyone or anything, he's smart, he listens, he can hold a conversation, and likes to live in the moment. It's that last quality that has caused an issue though.

A big part of living in the moment for Sam is to have fun with his friends. Understandable, right? Well he has fun sometimes by drinking and smoking. Smoking, not so much, but drinking is more frequent. It's a social thing he says, but last night he went by a friend's party for all of 30 minutes to say hi to some people, and he ended up drinking 2 beers and a shot. Sam insists he has a high tolerance for alcohol and that he wasn't even buzzed. This concerns me in more than one way.

My values are very different on the subject. I have made a promise to myself that I won't drink or smoke anything. Call me a prude, but I'm proud of my values. Sam respects them (he would never make me smoke or drink; he also respects my decision not to have sex in high school), but obviously he doesn't follow them.

I'm up in the air about this; I don't want to be a control freak, and I don't mind if he has fun with friends. Yet, it's still weighing on my mind. We haven't been dating long, but we've been close friends for ages. I was always a little worried about it, and it's only grown since we discovered our mutual affection for each other. Can two people with such different values make a relationship? Is there a way I can tell him I'm concerned for him and his health without sounding like a snobby goody two-shoes? Please help me out; I really love this guy and I don't want this to be the end of our relationship!

A good friend and I are often teased about how we should be dating. We just laugh it off and tease back.

Thing is, I do like him, quite a bit I think.

Two of his best friends, one of whom is good friends with me, asked "Ben" if he actually liked me. Ben openly admitted that he was. I do not think he knows I like him, though he may have an inkling.

He has told me before that he's just not interested in dating when I once asked him why he didn't have a girlfriend.

I would like to date him if I could, but I'm too shy to ask him. If he does like me, why doesn't he ask me out? Is there a way I could make him really notice me and consider breaking his own rule of not dating?

One of the girls life sucks, but she has her best friend by her side. Then her best friend gets shot, and she runs away since she can't stay where she is without her friend's suppport.

Another girl is 11 or 12 and to escape her life, she's dating this 16 guy who gets her pregnant. She gets ditched and then runs away.

I don't remember the first girl unfortunately.

If someone could help me by providing the name of the song or the artist, that would rock!

So, Here's What Happened in Detail That I hope Someone Takes the Time to Read:

We had a club activity that was a couple hours away from where our school is, so we took a bus. I was laying down on my friend, but this creepy guy who I try and avoid was looming over the two of us girls, and was talking to the people in the seat in front of us. It freaked me out, and I asked if he could please stop doing it, and it scared me a bit. He asked why, and said there was nothing wrong with what he was doing. I told him it wasn't exactly socially acceptable, and tried to get him to move to another seat or something. This guy (who I have a crush a mile wide on) was sitting about two rows up asked what I had done to provoke him, I told him absolutely nothing, and "Daniel" told "Kenny" to knock it off. I didn't want a huge conflict, so I ended up moving and sitting next to Daniel and eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, my head was in his lap (though I didn't realize it right away) and his arm was tucked around me. Also, I could swear he brushed my hair a few times, though I was sorta drowsy at the time. I tried to sit up, but he just said, "shh, it's okay. Just go back to sleep, you're fine." I did, but my ride called later to find out when to pick me up from my school and I woke up for a second time. I sat up and dug out my phone, but Daniel asked if I wanted him to call my folks so I could keep sleeping. I told him it was fine, called, and then tried to lean against the window. Instead, he tugged me back down onto his lap and told me I was warm. Again, more sleeping (I was really tired), and eventually I woke up again when my instructor started yelling that we would be back home in roughly a half-hour. I put my head back down and tried to get to sleep, but I really couldn't, so I just sorta lay there, half-awake. Then we started hitting some bumps, and I could feel his arm tighten around me, trying to keep me still. After a few minutes of this, I got up and told him I wasn't going back to sleep, sorry I can't keep you warm any more. He chuckled and said that was okay, and instead had me just lean against his shoulder. We chatted quietly for the rest of the time about everything and anything: dreams for the future, history, family, etc. I've been affectionately dubbed "the pest" by my club, and in my drowsy state I had no shields up and I confided to Daniel that it was just plain easier to be annoying than to bother being nice. He agreed, though he may have just been humoring me. Anyways, we talked and again, no screens, so I told him things I don't normally tell people, including how I really admire my mom even if I call her nuts a lot. I told him she was gone a lot, but that's what was awesome about her. 50 years old and trtravelinghe world. But then out of nowhere he asked, "What about you?" "What about me?" "Well, it sounds as if you don't see her a lot. Don't you miss her and want her to be home?" "Of course I do, but I want her to succeed and be happy now before she misses out. I don't really matter." He was sorta quiet for a minute but we kept talking. Plus, on top of our close whispering with his head settled on top of my own at times (he's taller by a half-head), his left arm was around my waist/side the entire time and I could feel him sort of petting/cacaressinge for lack of a better word. Finally, we arrived, the lights came on, we both sorta smiled and hugged, then he started grabbing his stuff. I began massaging my knee since it had been hurting for the last week, and he acted really concerned and asked if I needed help. I told him it was all good, and made do. While we were unloading, he caught me rubbing it again and was once more concerned. I waved him off and told him that he sucked, because now I was freezing without him. I told Dan he was really warm, the loser. He laughed and said that I was pretty warm too, and he was shivering as well. Then we all went home. The End.

For those who took the time to read, thank you sooooooooo much. I really want to know if he's interested in me, because I like him so bad that sometimes it hurts. Anyways, other random facts:

-I'm a Sophomore, Dan's a Senior, but we're only a year and a handful of months apart birthday wise.

-We're in the same club and are both very active in it.

-We share the same lunches and generally eat in the same area

-I see him everyday, though sometimes longer depending on the day

-I consider him my friend, and vice vevs-I know for a definite fact that he thinks I'm cute, though in the "Awwww" sort of way versus the "I wanna date you." This was a few weeks/months back on the other hand, so that might have changed.

What should I do? Make a move? Does he even like me? Help a confused girl please!!

Heeeeeeeeey people!!

Finally got around to watching Wolf's Rain this morning...only watched up to episode 5, but it's great so far!

Anyways, I was thinking that the Kiba from Wolf's Rain seems pretty kick-***, even this early in the series. Then I thought about Kiba from Naruto, who is also kick-***. So who do you think is better? The guy with a giant pet dog or the guy who can turn into a giant dog? The hot guy or the hotter guy? Share all! :D

So I'm participating in Zutara Week 2009 as a fanfiction writer. First theme is crossover and i've chosen avatar and ouran. There's a ball (cliche, I know) and Hitachii twins have some fun with dressing up Katara. What color dress should she wear? I don't really want a blue dress, cause that's what she always wears, plus I kinda want her to be in an eye-catching shade. Any ideas? Thanks much!!

I've been watching the anime version of Fruits Basket, but it ends on episode 26. Can anybody tell me what manga chapter comes immediately after that last episode? Thanx!!

It's about this magical shop; a woman and a teddy bear run it. They help people out on Earth. One of the chapters is about a tree named Hazuki who loves the music a human boy makes in the house next to her. She wishes to become human to talk to him, and in return, the woman takes Hazuki's flowers. Another chapter is around Christmas time. It explains how the teddy bear came to be in the shop. Anybody know? Thanks!!

Don't have a link, just saw the guy on a youtube video. His hair is a shade of orange, is a little bushy, and he has a ponytail going to just below his shoulders. He also has a scar shaped like an x on his cheek. I believe he also owns a sword. There was a girl in basically every picture with him too. She had black hair styled in a bun/ponytail thing, and is usually wearing a kimono. Please help?
