Why do people keep wanting to disrespect our 1st Black President?

Where were you when Bush was ridiculed and blamed for everything? I think Obama's policies suck and believe that he is ruining my country...the same country that I have free speech in. I will say what I want about 0bama, and when I want. GOT THAT?

Because he's doing a poor job as president. He doesn't get extra "respect" points because he's the first black president. He has to earn the respect just like everyone else. He started out with considerable respect and pissed it away. That's why his approval rating index has fallen from a +30 to a -8 in a matter of 6 months.

There's no affirmative action in the office of president, nor should there be. He is being held to the same standards as every other president. Playing the race card so much at this point is making you apologists look desperate.

So stop crying about it. If he wants respect, he better start earning it. In the meantime, I'll pray for the country, not 0bama

It is the age old law if you are not white it aint right not matter what all the other presidents have done it is just because no matter how far we have come in this so called new age alot of people only want to see blacks as yes ma no sir and entertainment so let them keep doing all the little small things that they do because some of us think that we need a change and PRESIDENT OBAMA maybe the change we need so come on give the man a chance i say

The reason some people do that is because they don't understand that america is a FREE country! Some people are cruel and have no respect for others, just because he is black does not make him better or worse than white people, natives, hispanic, and many more people our country kindly lets in. Now no matter what anybody says these heartless people wont stop saying this bull****, they already know what they are saying is wrong. America also fought so that we can have the freedom of speech but why about the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? no one knows.

I agree with the person who said "It's about public policy that defies economic and universal common-sense that ultimately moves to reignite class warfare" Its about the lack of common sense being used by our leaders in this country right now. While I think it is childish to call names and disrespect people can you honestly say we are any better off now then we were a year ago? The president isn't the only one accountable which is why it never made sense that everyone busted bush's balls. The economy still sucks, our national debt has at least tripled and none of that is bush's fault! Its everyones fault! This country needs to get over the blaming and name calling and get down to fixing the problems together.

I personally dont call Obama names other than Obama but if someone chooses to do so it isnt slander. Slander is making a false statement. If they call him any of the names you listed they are giving their opinion. People have always insulted presidents they didnt agree with. Obama is no different. The name calling or putting him down is something that you will have to find a way to deal with or ignore. As long as America respects free speech they are free to say it. Now threatening the president or using racial slurs is a different matter. You just cant go around commanding people.

The people are not disrespecting the president of the United States, they disrespect the whole blacks of the world.

I am Brazilian and the Brazilian government made an advertising campaign where they asked:

The answers were surprising, people that said not had prejudice gave answers that to analyzes they demonstrated a prejudice that the people don't admit, but they feel.

0bama is half black and half white, why does that mean we call him black, the heck with calling him black hes fifty fifty mixed we could just as easily call him white.

its usually twice as costly and half as effective like the stimulus so we are not in a position to tackle health care though we need to insure everyone, we know not where to get the $$ to pay everyones premiums, i know the system

will burgeon and health care will get rationed worse than

the HMO's do it now. obama's eurphoria to get elected was a lie, we need to introduce president obama to candidate obama and show him what a liar he is now that he has the same knowledge bush had.

He's not a loser, he isn't stupid, but at the same time, I don't know why people keep thinking he's only being disrespected because he's the first BLACK president...maybe it has to do with the fact that he's the president, whether he's black, white, green, whatever....no one can think that everyone is going to love him the whole time he's in power, thats ridiculous.

Its a mind set and it can never stop. They did it to Bush, Hillary,Mc Cain, Palin. The tone was set by Obama's people and press during the campaign. Now what goes around comes around live with it.You have not seen how bad it can get.

First, he is not black remember one parent is white. He is Muslim. We really do not know where the man was born and if information is correct it was not the United States of America. He legally should not be President.

People always complain about Presidents, in a disrespectful manner.

No one ever has a comment when a non truth is said about a Republican.

Also, he is making extremely bad choices at the cost of our Freedoms and Nations expense.
