Kitten drinks hot chocolate, not milk. wuh?
We brought our farm kitten in, one of a litter of three kittens born on the farm, because we were worried the mother was going to abandon her.
She doesn't drink cows milk at all- which is not completely surprising that she has no interest because it's natural she'll prefer her mothers' milk.
Well, I had a hot chocolate and noticed all the cats getting exciting - just in case i'd somehow fit half a pig in there and they wanted some of the action. So I let them all have a little smell so they could work it out and so that's how I know she goes crazy for hot chocolate (luckily it was just a bit warm- and not boiling hot- but I've been spoon feeding her some since)
I was just worried. Is that healthy? Is that normal? blah blah blah... Those kinda questions, so if there's a vet or someone who thinks they know why, please answer.

Chocolate is poisonous to both cats and dogs. I wouldn't give the cats anymore if I was you.

Chocolate contains naturally occuring methylxanthines caffeine and theobromine. The concentration of theobromine is much higher than that of caffeine but both is highly toxic to cats and dogs. Different types of chocolate contain different levels of both, cooking and drinking chocolate contains the highest levels of methlxanthine. So in short please stop giving her the drinking chocolate, as you are poisioning her slowly, the only thing she should be drinking is water and obviously eating the correct food for her age, stop the drinking chocolate now, plus the other answers are correct, cats are lactose intolerant, and the cows milk in the drinking chocolate will also give her a bad stomach, without the effects of the actual chocolate poisioning, if she doesn't like her mothers milk, which I do find unusual, try her with kitten replacement milk, you can buy it any good supermarket or good pet store.

Ovaltine mixture in common terms to make it at domicile. no longer something comes close. Will purchase entire milk chocolat milk exterior domicile in common terms. 2% chocolate milk is incredibly lame. must be ice chilly. no count if it fairly is not ice chilly, i will't drink chocolate or any milk. Drink white 2% milk daily because it incredibly is healthful and have the handle of chocolate a pair cases a month. often drink chocolate on my own because it fairly is a uncommon handle.

Chocolate is toxic to cats. Eating or drinking it will make her very sick. Cats are lactose intolerant so drinking cow's milk could give her a bad case of diarrhea. Stop giving it to her immediately. She needs to drink water and eat cat food, nothing else. Read this

no cats are lactoste and tolerant so hot chocolate and chocolate milk will make them sick. So will cows milk. All cats should drink water, I think.

Chocolate is poisonous to cats, I believe because of the high amount of caffeine. They are also mostly lactose intolerant. Your cats should drink water, NO kind of milk is good for an adult cat.

I have a half persian - her favourite foods are courgette, rice, sweetcorn and chocolate milk.
Definitely not what you would call a typically healthy diet - but she is 17 years old and very fit and healthy.
I do tend to limit the intake of the sweet things she likes (honey that drips off my toast is another favourite, earning her the nickname Bear from my husband!)
I would not let your kitty have more than a very little bit - and only as a treat - but it won't hurt it (unlike dogs - chocolate is not pure poison to cats!)

No, its not healthy. AT ALL. Stop giving them chocolate, they metabolize the caffine in it differently than we do and it can kill them.
