The question. It indicates the desire to seek. And if the answer from outside does not satisfy, and the question is genuine, the answer is always within itself. Just requires some patience for the answer to come out or 'occur'!

Perhaps some irrefutable proof could help. Socrates used the method of asking question to 'awaken' the simple people around him. For a great philosopher, the toughest thing is to ask the right kind of questions. It is easier to answer 'any' question. Socrates is great also because he was (and is , till now), the only one of this kind!

depends on which philosopher you are talking about, really, and what type of philosophy. if it's your philosophy for HOW you live your life, then that isn't really a question. It's an answer that you have figured out, and live by. But over all, it's the question, because that is, what the person above me answered, what makes the brain work, brings about the answer, but in saying the question, that says that the answer isn't really important. well, to some. Most value just getting people thinking about the question... oh, I quit blabbering. I think it's the question.

The space in between the question and answer is the most important. In philosophy, the best answers seem to be from philosophers answering questions asked centuries ago. The space between seems to decide both what is a good question and what is a good answer.

In some ways perhaps every good answer is also a good question, and every good question is also a good answer.

It must be 50-50 as with the question

"Is there a definitive question?" and the answer "No" only leads on to more questions "Why not" "Because if there was then there would be no point in having a philosophical view on life and the search for virtue would be simple." Knowledge would be much more easily available and people would find agreement is the better way of living (no more fighting). So in summer as there are no definitive question, so there are no definitive answers, surly if answers were the end then that answer has not been studied.

In the communication of philosophy the question and answer are one and the same in that the asking of questions is the methodology used to lead the listener to a state of understanding. Basically what occurs is the instructor sets up a discordant event, verbal or otherwise. The learner, thrown into a state of confusion or disbelief, is therein open to the learning of a new idea, possibly even a different way of think. In summary it is through questions one finds answers.

    The question.

In philosophy the answer is abstract and not concrete. But the question will open more doors and avenues to things that you have not even thought of yet.

Without question then there would be no philosophy, but don't philosophers seek the answer?

The answer is often irrelevant. It is the process started by the question the is the important part.

If you know how to discriminate, then leave aside less important things. As a result, you will only get important questions and important answers.

I think 'answer' some people are very good in giving a philosophical answer to a very simple question and this makes the question interesting
