Has there ever been a question from Theists that Atheists haven't answered?

In my short time here I've noticed a lot of redundancy from a certain group of Christians and a few others.

It's always the same question rehashed from a different angle.

So, my question is this:

Has there ever been a question that us Atheists haven't been able to answer?

If so, ask it.

Update:

"Why don't you ridicule Jews for believing in a god and trying to influence legislation*?"

Because Jews are actually tolerant of others beliefs.

Judaism holds the view that the Gentiles can practice other faiths as long as they are also good, moral people.

As for the political thing, we Atheists don't show favoritism,

Complete Separation of Church and State.

We apply this universally.

Update 2:

"Why do you assume that Protestant fundamentalism is a more authentic version of Christianity than Catholicism?"

Personally, I don't.

Both Catholicism and Protestants have many doctrines/dogmas that are not supported by Scripture.

You have to realise that there are over 40,000 different denominations of Christianity today and each one claims that only they have the correct view.

Update 3:

"We thus call upon our fellow Jews and fellow citizens to stand opposed to any attempt, whether judicial, legislative, or religious in nature, to bestow the sanctity of marriage upon same-sex couples."

The religious are the biggest opponents of gay marriage.

Its due to their religious texts.

Most (but not all) Atheists are tolerant of the concept of same-sex marriage.

Why should we interfere with love?

Albeit I don't agree with it, but I also am tolerant because that decision is theirs to make and theirs to live with.

Btw, very good questions Meg.

Update 4:

>>Because Jews are actually tolerant of others beliefs.<<

"That doesn't make any sense. What does that have to do with whether or not believing in a god is absurd?"

I didn't say Atheist don't view their belief in God as absurd because we do.

We view any belief in the supernatural as absurd.

Pagan gods and goddesses, Hindu gods, etc.

You have to remember, when we state that the Abrahamic God doesn't exist, that automatically includes Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Update 5:

""BTW, some Jews can be as intolerant as some Christians. From Jewish news sources:""

Yes, Jews are intolerant when it comes to their state of Israel.

But, the reason is because they perceive Christianity as a threat to their Jewishness because the Christians continuously state that the Jews are wrong where Jesus is concerned.

They allow Christians in Israel to practice their faith under one condition.

Christians aren't allowed to try and convert a Jew.

Other than that, they do not care.

As for the spitting on Christians, again, you have to realize that Christianity is constantly trying to claim the Jews are wrong for following their beliefs.

Christianity just cannot accept the fact that Jesus simply is not the Jewish Messiah.

If Christians would simply qyit telling the Jews they are wrong and quit twisting the Torah to fit the Christian ideology, they wouldn't care.

Update 6:

"Jews spit on non-Jewish news reporter for using tape-recorder on the Sabbath"

Well, you have to realize that that reporter was breaking their Sabbath.

Orthodox Jews take their biblical law extremely serious. Can't fault them for that.

Update 7:

"Prize offered to whoever kills gay person"

"Violence erupts at Gay Pride Parade"

This goes back to your question concerning same-sex marriage.

By their very text, it forbids homosexuality just as the Christians are against it because the Christians and Jews are using the sane Scriptures concerning this.

And is why I stated that Atheists are simply more tolerant in this area.

Update 8:

>>I didn't say Atheist don't view their belief in God as absurd because we do.<<

"But you don't attack them for it! I'm objecting to the double standard."

There's no double standard.

When is the last time you saw a follower of Judaism (Messianic Jews are not followers of Judaism) state that one must follow their God or risk eternal condemnation?

They don't because they acknowledge that Gentiles can worship as they please as long as they are good, moral people.

Plus, in Judaism, there is no Satan or Hell.

That's purely a Christian concept.

Believe me when I say this, if a Jew ever tried to claim that we have to worship their God or else, we Atheist would give them just as much hell as we do the Christians that do that.

Update 9:

"You just claimed about a half hour ago that "Judaism holds the view that the Gentiles can practice other faiths as long as they are also good, moral people."!!! The reporter is NOT Jewish. HER using HER tape-recorder is NOT breaking their Sabbath!"

Was that person doing work on the Sabbath by using the recorder and reporting? Yes.

Again, the Orthodox Jews take their Mosaic law extremely serious.

Look at it like this. If you travel to another country aren't you obligated to adhere to that country's laws? Of course you are.

Israel is not America.

It is against their law to work on the Sabbath.

Example: Did you know that their airlines are not allowed to fly on the Sabbath?

They take it seriously.

Update 10:

And because of all this (especially Hitler) they are very wary. The Jews living in Israel right now lost many many loved ones in the Nazi death camps. And far as they know, Hitler was a Christian. I even had family lost there. Yes, I am part Jew and an Atheist (Lol)

Update 11:

"This is just so wrong. You are confusing fundamentalists Christians in the southern part of the United States with the type of Christians in Israel, who are a tiny minority and not like that at all."

No, actually I absolutely know the difference. But that does not mean that the Jews do. There has always been animosity between Judaism and Christianity since the time of Jesus (2000 yrs.) I know it's hard to accept this, but Christianity, after coming into power in AD 365, actually started persecuting the Jews, just like the Roman Pagans were persecuting the Christians in the 1st century AD. The early Catholic Church is the ones responsible for scattering the Jews across the world (diaspora). So yes, where Christianity is concerned, the general Jewish population in Israel has a lot of resentment and fear of the Christians doing this again. Plus, The RCC also blamed the Jews for the Black Plague and persecuted them and then Hitler (Catholic) turned right around and did the Holocaust.

    >>There's no double standard.

When is the last time you saw a follower of Judaism (Messianic Jews are not followers of Judaism) state that one must follow their God or risk eternal condemnation?<<

Very recently. According to Judaism, the ONE God (there is no "their/our God") made a covenant with mankind, and then later made another with the people now known as the Jews. ALL non-Jews are bound by the Seven Laws of Noah.

"While Jews are commanded to observe hundreds of laws, non-Jews are expected to follow seven that are presumed to date from the time of Noah. Judaism regards any non-Jew who keeps these laws as a righteous person who is guaranteed a place in the world to come."

    http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judais...

Just what do you think happens to those who do not keep these laws?

    >>Plus, in Judaism, there is no Satan or Hell.

    That's purely a Christian concept.<<

There is a Satan, though the Jewish view is somewhat different than the Christian view.

"According to Torah, no spiritual force opposes G‑d. This includes Satan, who is a spiritual entity that faithfully carries out its divinely assigned task of trying to seduce people to stumble. Satan is also identified with the Prosecutor above -- that's what the word Satan itself means: it's just Hebrew for prosecutor -- who levels charges against the guilty party who succumbs to its wily arguments. Look in the beginning chapter of the Book of Job and you'll see that clearly."

    http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/5120...

Some Jews believe in Hell, some do not.

"Only the utterly wicked do not ascend to Gan Eden at the end of this year. Sources differ on what happens to these souls at the end of their initial time of purgation. Some say that the wicked are utterly destroyed and cease to exist, while others believe in eternal damnation (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Law of Repentance, 3:5-6)."

    >>Believe me when I say this, if a Jew ever tried to claim that we have to worship their God or else, we Atheist would give them just as much hell as we do the Christians that do that.<<

    Go get him, cowboy:

"This paper addresses the scope of Jewish law's mandate upon Jews to enforce the Seven Noachide commandments, as well as any other rules Jewish law mandates that Gentiles should keep...notwithstanding a minority opinion to the contrary, Jewish law accepts that Gentiles are obligated to keep the Noachide laws, and they are obligated even for unintentional violations. So too, Jewish law recognizes that Gentiles are obligated to create a system of laws designed to -- at the minimum -- enforce the Noachide laws." -- Rabbi Michael J. Broyde

It is against their law to work on the Sabbath.<<

Non-Jews are allowed to work on the Sabbath. Jews even hire them to do work they can't do. Such a person is called Shabbos goy. It is not against the law for a non-Jew to run a tape-recorder on Saturday. If it was, why wasn't she arrested by the police?

According to Israel's Ministry of Tourism, "Shopping centers that do not cater to the religious population are open on Saturdays and others open on Saturday night or holiday nights to accommodate moviegoers. Coffee houses and restaurants that do not serve kosher food usually remain open on Saturdays."

    http://www.tourism.gov.il/Tourism_Eng/Tourist+Info...

You are being beyond unreasonable. There is no way you would defend Christians spitting on a Jew for working on a Sunday, and certainly not because 2000 years ago, Jews were oppressing Christians. Again, double standard.

Of course not; it's not as if anyone who believes in invisible sky critters has the intellectual capacity to think of anything too difficult.

After all, GODDIDIT answers everything, huh?

There might be, as sometimes, we just get tiered of destroying their foolishness, that we just let them rant as if they where a little toddler who was throwing a fit.

You just need to ignore them and they get bored and take a nap.

As far as they're concerned, we haven't answered ANY of their questions.

Basically, they do the equivalent of putting their fingers int heir ears after they've issued a challenge. Then, since they haven't heard our response, they can safely assume we haven't made one.
