Heard while leaving a minor league stadium " That was a good game!"?

Good game:

Last nights Oakland-Minnesota.

The Twins had a 13-7 lead in the top of the 7th, and lost 14-13.

That my friends, is one good game!!!

A game that was entertaining. A 9-1 game can be exciting when there are some great or unusual plays in it. Like if the winning pitcher threw 18 strikeouts or the opposite, he kept loading the bases and then getting great defensive plays to prevent runs from scoring.

Hey, you could go to a real blowout and sit next to a gorgeous girl in a halter top and it could be a great game!

Depends on the persons personality. Some people think great games are ones when there are 8 home runs and 20 runs, and others think good games are pitching battles with scores very low. I personally like defensive battles but as a pirates fan i am used to getting crushed =(

The last minor league game I went to was a great game. I got tickets through work. The company newsletter announced that the company had purchased season tickets for the Tacoma Rainiers (AAA affiliate of Seattle Mariners) and the tickets included free food and drinks.

I went to the game, expecting the free food and drinks to be a hot dog and a coke. To my surprise, the tickets were part of an executive club thing which had unlimited free beer, chick beer, wine, etc. 6 beers and a home team victory later, my wife drove home. I thought it was a good game.

Washington National fans would consider any victory a good game. Whether it was 4-3 or 9-1.

I like good pitching duels and walk-off homeruns. I liked when lincecum pitched against the pirates and Garret Jones hit a walk-off in the 14th. I wish the giants won though.

So what? They had fun, that's what matters.

The definition of a "good game" for me is when the team I want to win, wins.
