Should this handicapped guy have gotten deported?
Just read an article about an guy in Florida who got deported by the hospital that treated him. Seems the unfortunate guy was massively injured in a accident in the truck he was a passenger in. Had been a healthy, vital, working illegal immigrant sending money back to Guatemala. Then he became a brain damaged bedridden patient. The hospital treated him for 3 years, brought him back up to about a 3rd or 4th grade level and could do no more. This cost a bit more than $1M. They decided to send him back to Guatamala. In that country the Minister of Health accepted the responsibility. Now the guy's cousin, who was his legal guardian, is stating and making a lawsuit that the hospital deported him illegally. Really??
Does the hospital and this country have an obligation to treat, and take care of for life, an illegal immigrant, when American citizens, and legal immigrants (do we really have any?) often cannot get treated right here in their own country. They must fight insurance companies and medical centers for some attention to their health issues. Some even travel OUT of this country for treatment.
They say this will be a ground-breaking case. Opinions?

We can't keep spending millions to treat illegals here when our economy is failing, and so many of our own can't afford treatment.
The money spent on him could have been spent on an American child, and should have been.
If your baby was sick, would you pay to treat her, or pay for an illegals baby while yours died?

Yes i bet the ACLU will take this guys cause but really the hospital treated him for all that time and got him as well as they could. He was illegal so he could not get social services to care for him for life. They would do that to americans too and have as usually if you have no money or insureance they do not want to treat you'more than 1 time.
