What happens if someone else picks up my prescription without my permission?
People at my pharmacy frequently pick up prescriptions for other people. I'm just curious as to whats stopping me from picking up somebody else's prescription if I have all of their information?

It is not illegal to pick up another person's prescription. HOWEVER, it IS illegal to use another person's prescription. If you take the pills that are meant for another person, it is a crime (not 100% positive on this but I believe you'd be arrested under the charge 'substance abuse'). So really if you want to pick up someone's prescription and pay for it and all that just for kicks, then I guess sure go ahead but just don't take/use the medicine.

You need to call the police. Picking up someones prescription without permission will get you charged with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and possession of prescription only drugs. These charges are felonies and you can go to federal prison for it in the United States..
