Christians, Do you find "rewards" on Earth from God or do you believe that what we have is from our own hands?

I believe that we find rewards from God on earth. In '02 I had a massive stroke in Texas (I live in Indiana) "somebody" rode with me to the hospital and gave them contact numbers for me. He would sit with me at night when nobody was around. I didn't know anybody from Texas. After I regained my senses from the stroke I described the man to my ex-wife and it matched her father that passed away before I meet her and never saw a picture.

God rewards us every day, but not just us, but non believers as well. The sun rises and falls on all. It rains on the just and the unjust. We all have our trials and tribulations. A life is given a life is taken. All things come from God for each and every one of us good or bad. The reward is knowing our Heavenly Father, and the hope we have in Him. It is unfortunate that there are those who do not. That is why we must share Gods Word with all.

Very good question Larry.
Everybody has very good answers too. Of course every body's answer is based on there interpretation of the bible. Yes I do believe that rewards on earth comes from GOD. But we also have to be careful. Believe it or not, the devil likes to play the role of god. He will also grant rewards. If the devil did not grant rewards in his own favor, then the world would not be as corrupt as it is now.
Our rewards that comes from GOD is also by our own hands. For us as Christians and doing the will of GOD and obeying his commands is by our own hands with the help of GOD and the Holy Spirit. We as Christians have to focus on the things in heaven and not the things of earth. We also have to focus on the most important law of all, "Love"!
As human beings we look at mostly the things we want, but GOD see the things we need. HE will always provide us with the things we need to live and do what we need to do. He will reward us with the things we want if it does not take us away from him. As for trials and tribulations, that is were the love of discipline come in. We are rewarded for our good deeds and punish for our bad deeds. The justice of GOD demands it.
Now if you look at GOD, you would say HE is our Father. Is that not what Jesus say that is how we should pray. Our Father. Now if you are a parent, look at your own kids. Do you not reward them? If they do bad do you not punish them? The purpose of the reward is to guide us in the right direction. But, we have to make sure we know where our rewards are coming from. We don't focus on the reward we focus on true love and the truth, we focus on our Father.
Just like everybody else, this is my truth.
Peace

If a man shall delight himself in the Lord God shall give him the desires of his heart; but he won't be asking God for things contrary to what of the Lord he delights in, and that is the mind of that scripture. God isn't like my mom and dad saying if you be good and get good grades and throw out the trash and keep your room tidy we will buy you a new bike or this or that. If a man is a plumber, and he needs more work let him bring his gift to the Lord, and ask Him to bless the works of his hands, if his intent is having so he can give Ephesians 4: 28. if a man wants a wife let him learn thr rightness of a man husband father according to the word of God, and God will give him a wife, and visa versa.Whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap, sow good and reap
good, so evil reap evil. The advantage of the righteous is the Ministry of the Spirit, and in due time will prosper commonwealth, but a fool is destroyed of prosperity? In everything the righteous prospers because of the anointing, if his mind is stayed on the Lord. In the world man fends for himself, and he knows good and evil, and the more of either will be his bread. But to the righteous he puts far from him evil and walks in the way of righteosuness, and he eats the good of the land. edwah z j gbu and yours Ephesians 2 : 12-13 go to your concorance and look at the blessing on the righteous.

All things are given by God. All our trials and tribulations are either allowed or specifically given by God for our own souls. Everyone of us are going to suffer trials whether we believe in God or not. What God does is use certain tribulations for our own benefit. For the education of His children because of our faith He knows we will pick up on that and learn.
God gives us what we need. God gives us what we want ... mind you this is within reason! okay?... I mean I really do want a Rolls Royce, but with my funds? Well He just gave us a used car, two electric scooters and the ability to pay for it. The used car is a four thousand dollar car on the market, we paid half that with small payments. The two electric scooters? A friend gave them to us brand new out of the blue and although I was hunting for a scooter the friend didn't know and I didn't ask for it. She in her heart just gave them to my wife and I
That I believe are a few examples of what God gives. We needed the car. We needed to build our credit rating, we had what it took for a cheap car but we got a good car, we had what it took for a scooter but we received a gift.
I believe these are examples of material blessings but then there is the blessing of peace in our lives knowing full well we won't go without and we won't go hungry. Regardless of how little we have relatively.
The rewards of our lives are base on our decisions in our faith. And yes we have worked with our own hands for our daily living but doesn't everyone? The difference is that we know God owns everything and all we have is our gratitude for what He does give us. He gives us everything we have. This we know.
Uhhhmm, it's difficult to explain without sounding like a parrot or blind faith mouthing scriptures. I think the best way to answer you is that everyone recieves everything from God. The evil and the righteous both have the sunshine, both have the rain. Only one of the two groups acknowledges the source and is gratefull enough to worship our creator for all that He has given us. In material, in spirit, in life.

He gives to His beloved even while they sleep:
Psalm 127:1-3
Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To retire late,
To eat the bread of painful labors;
For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.
Behold, children are a gift of the LORD,
Edit/Footnote - Christians, Do you find "rewards" on Earth from God or do you believe that what we have is from our own hands?
All good things, including rewards are from above. (see also James 1:17)

God supplies our needs God gave us life, He gave us these things,but the things of earth will all pass away. We should set our affections above, because our treasures are in heaven,and rewards the works we have done for Christ. That should mean so much more...my love...Jesus is what really..really matters...
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.(Colossians3:2)
Isn't He worthy~! Christ is the first one we'll see in heaven. He is what makes heaven it would not be the same. God's will is where I'm most happiest. Because God knows what's best.:D
~~~
We were placed on this earth to tell others about Christ. Just to know that your affecting somebody's future is mind boggling. It's a wonderful feeling to know where your going when you die.~~We are unperfect people who sin. Sin's seperation from God death and hell is our just payment. Because we do not deserve heaven.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans6:23)
Jesus Christ died to pay for man's sin debt, so we do not have to spend an eternity in hell.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.(John14:6)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.(Romans10:9)
whosoever will, will be blessed! We confess our sins,ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins, believing in our heart we ask Jesus to be our personal Saviour.
The answer, of course, is both. We are created by God and our gifts, talents, and abilities are from source, creator, who is God.
Since God gave us free choice, what we do with those abilities is of our choosing.
Look at the Scripture about the talents.
God is my rewarder; Hebrews 11:6 says but without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
