What kind of cookware do you consider "baking dishes" to be?

I have a wedding to go to (my aunt)... she didn't do a registry & I'd like to give something a little more personal than money so I asked her what they needed. (Besides a beautiful wedding photo frame I'm getting them). Since her & her soon to be husband are already in their own house & have many things I wasn't sure. She said she could really use some baking dishes. So my question is what is considered baking dishes? I'm sure you can tell I don't do much in the kitchen. lol. Is it things like cake pans? cookie trays? etc. Or something else.

Thanks for the input! **Also, wasn't sure if this was the right category since it doesn't have to do with recipes... but it does have to with cooking.**

I have a great idea for something different. If there is a nice hotel nearby see if you can get a gift card for a Sunday brunch. It's something people don't always do for themselves and it's always enjoyed. Plus since they're newlyweds they just might spend the weekend at the hotel.

You can always give them a gift certificate for a grocery store (I like to do that for a housewarming gift instead of a plant.)

If you really want to get them "the baking ware" stuff, get it at Costco/BJ's or whatever your bulk grocery is near you. You'll get a better deal than going to a department store. Hope these suggestions help- enjoy!

I would have thought dishes might refer to casserole dishes and the like rather than baking tins? i would clarify with her to be honest or maybe get her vouchers for a nice kitchen store as you are already getting a nice frame.

Yes, those all sound very good. I'd get her a few cake pans and cookie sheets, one can never have too many cookie sheets.

Also steel mixing bowls are also nice. Wooden spoons, etc.

I would say she would like a nice covered casserole.....I know I would love to have a nice heavy ceramic one versus the cheap glass one I have now from Wally World.
