Does Obama think we are stupid?

These are his talking points on health care reform.

* No discrimination for pre-existing conditions

* No exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays

* No cost-sharing for preventive care

* No dropping of coverage if you become seriously ill

* No gender discrimination

* No annual or lifetime caps on coverage

* Extended coverage for young adults

* Guaranteed insurance renewal so long as premiums are paid

It sounds great doesn't it? But the facts are not to many are going to seek the medical profession. Who wants to work fr medicare wages, none. Plus you will not be able to keep your private ins. because they will be run out of business. Also he says no dropping of coverage if you became seriously ill. Considering they are copying this off the European and Canadian programs which they themselves deem it Not Good. People that get cancer will be told to go home and die. He is not being honest with us. The devil is in the details. Free abortions, save us money in long run. Free health care for illegals because he wants the hispanic votes. Does anyone see the big picture of these drastic changes to the best health care system in the World?

Update:

a sexy m?/ Read the freakin bill!! haven't you heard Obama say we will need to make choices. The government can not afford to pay for sustaining someones life if they are doomed to die. It is called Health care RATIONING. Read the post above yours- the end part for easy reading. Please do not accuse me of sending hate e-mails, I am much more mature than that.

Update 2:

That other guy- Thank you for going into medicine. We need people like you. I have asked many, my oncologist is from Italy, he says he sees what his parents have to endure and he does not support this plan. My internist retired in April said"she is getting out before it turns like the education system where there is more beauracrocy than good done".

Update 3:

Chelfi- you are wrong. I am 57 and pay $800. a month for my ins. It is outrageous and yes something needs to be done about the ins. costs, for sure. Why can't Obama just wave his magic wand and regulate what ins. companies can charge. Make it more competitive by going across state lines. Things like that rather than destroy our first class medical system. Instead he will be paying people to sit around and decide if you can even get treatment and you could have waited too long for what ever. This great health care system has kept me alive and well, productive citizen from a terminal illness for 7 years. If we would have had Obama care I would not be hear discussing this issue.

Yes they think we are stupid, hopefully not stupid enough to allow him to be a madder in his term. Beat up bush, and anything else looks better. I don't like the fact that everyone was so quick to go in a 180. Its like a bunch of chickens missing head voting. This is what we got, and the problem in the east is not going away. now we have to deal with this waste of time and still have un addressed problems. They all whipped and scorn bush, evil evil evil. But whats the first thing Hillary said, she was holding a tight fist ready to strike speaking of north korea. **** a few weeks before it was bush. Whats the difference? Obama thinks were all stupid. Yes.

I have to agree with you,it faze out the privet insurance field.Force the drug companies to drop there price's to be more competitive with Mexico and Canada.Did you know that a good portion of a pill is chalk?Chalk allows some drugs to take a pill form and dissolve in a timely Fashion. If they were administered in a gel or capsule. They would enter your body in a much faster manner that may not be beneficial. Most of the cost gos to over payed C.E.O's not to research. We the sick are the ginny pigs of medicine. As long as they get there money there don't care if the drug helps us or kills us.Privet insurance will drop you or decline you if it is in there favor. This bill would cover all,not a favored group as now.To many brain dead peasants are kept alive to pad the high cost of medicine.Yes I did sine a do not resuscitate form for my Dad.Yes to when he had a massive stock We did let him die and not be a vegetable hooked up to a bunch of machines.Yes I would rather be dead than be in a stat where I could not be abel to move and or talk. Here in Utah there are only 2 channels used in a convalescent home. One is K.S.L. and the other is K.BY.U.that is so the peasants will get a Church approved programing and Church devotional provided by the L.D.S.church.I don't have much use for N.B.C.and all tho I like P.B.S. I don't care that much for K.B.Y.U's version. That would be HELL for an Atheist.

Becca, your info is off, "Who wants to work fr medicare wages, none. Plus you will not be able to keep your private ins."

That isn't true, and of course you can keep your private insurance. And if you think Canadian healthcare is bad, you're way off, it's probably the best in the world. They pay for it in their taxes, but there is no better coverage. You're so anti-Obama, it's really disturbing that you can't see the big picture; But this part of your question bothers me:

"People that get cancer will be told to go home and die. He is not being honest with us. The devil is in the details. Free abortions, save us money in long run. Free health care for illegals because he wants the hispanic votes. Does anyone see the big picture of these drastic changes to the best health care system in the World?"

Do you see the big picture? because being so close-minded I don't think you do? I hate abortions, talk about an "anti-responsibility generation..." but free is the way to go because the people who need them can't afford them, God forgive them. As for free healthcare for the minorities, where did you get that? That's not true, of course they are required to pay the fees, but will they? they won't be turned away, just have the same options as citizens. they're human beings, mothers, daughters, just people. You can't deny them if they're in need but how to meet that need is the big question, what do you do? Obama's saying these people will have their healthcare. For Pete's sake it's one extra clinic in a rural area, an extra job for a Dr. An extra job for a nurse...

You're so obsessed with your dislike you should see how great this is for seniors. Are you kidding, this made for them. When you get to the age where you'll need this kind of protection you'll realize what he is truly doing. I hope you'll remember how against him you were. He's saying that seniors, and the poor, have every right to the same care as any hardworking middleclass stiff.

He's just has to keep pushing education and free and open communication. I think it's working?

    1) I am currently studying medicine not because I care about medicare wages but because I want to help people. So you can't say none, because I am one and I have a school of hundreds of kids who will say the same thing as me.

    2) I just went to Canada over the weekend and asked everyone I could about their health care program and not a single one didn't call their health care system "perfect."

    3) Theyre not drastic changes if they will not even start being put in place until 10 years from now.

Get a life. Talk to people who actually know what is going on and stop listening to stupid scare tactic rumors.

I would love to own a South Pacific island but guess what, I can't afford it. Neither can this country afford the best health care money can buy.

So the choice is keep the status quo where some can continue to afford the best while more and more have inadequate or no health care, or have something less than the best for all.

Oh and by the way, when did physicians stop taking the hippocratic oath? I always thought their main motivation for becoming medical doctors was to help the sick and injured become well. Any doctor who decides to hang up their stethoscope because they have to give up one of their yachts is not a doctor I want treating me.

Firstly all industrialised, modern nations except the United States have universal health care, and it is a trend with most developing countries ,so what are you afraid of.And secondly its not free ,we pay for it monthly its called national insurance, its pro -rata, so the rich pay more than the less fortunate.

It just means that everyone can receive treatment regardless of the status.

All I can say is you don't see people going to Canada and Britain for they're "wonderful" Health care.

They come here to America. The country I love so damn much, and I don't want to see go down the toilet like everything else government has touched.

Honestly, I should just quit my job and just mooch like everyone else. We all should...NOT. I have character and want to feel good about myself at night when I am asleep and healthy because I worked hard to be that way.

I always kept my grounds, that is why he did not get my vote. The only place that I know has the same health arrangements is communist Cuba. This thinking is pure socialism. I just hope American have their eyes opened wide enough to see what's coming and may God keep blessing America and not let that happen.

Yes Obama thinks we are stupid because that stupidity is what got him elected and Obama is going to capitalize on that stupidity as long as he can.

Why not take the Healthcare Plan We the People provide an undeserving Congress and expand it to apply to the citizens as well, aren't we good enough?
