Are energy drinks really that bad?

And if so why????

    They are in large amounts, which is why most energy drinks have a warning on them, advising you not to drink more than 3 a day. Energy drinks have about ten times the amount of caffeine than coke and can alter your hear rate, also they have heaps of sugar in them, which can be very bad for diabetics.

    There was a case in Australia, where a motor cross rider at 20 something years old, drunk 9 in one day and had a heart attack. He survived, but it was because of the Red Bull's he drank.

    Most of them have a lot of sugar and caffeine so you feel energized, but really you are having a sugar rush. No matter what you do, Drink Water. Your body is made of 90% of water so you need to stay hydrated to stay healthy and strong. It may not give you the energy of a sugar rush but it's doing a Whole Lot More.

    Yes.

    -The amount of sugar in them is way too much

    -Caffeine could cause anxiety, aggression and agitation with too much

    -Its expensive

    -AND it speeds up your heart to sometimes the point of no decline. The longer you drink them the more of a chance you have to have heart problems when your older. Because of the increased heart rate you are much more susceptible to heart attacks around the age of 50.

    well as opposed to something like five hour energy they are pretty good, they have a lot of calories which are needed for energy, and vitamin B which add energy, sugar content may be high but it adds to calories which give energy

    well there not good for you, alot of sugar and there most popular to kids, and kids have enough energy as is.

    they are designed to mkae you energetic,, so your heart beets faster to do so. if you sleep or worse have any form of exersize your heart speeds up even more to a point where its not healthy. Causing heart attacks. they are horrid
