Regarding health care could it be?

That the insurance industry needs the reform and that astronomical court awards need capped to say $3 million.

Tort reform on medical lawsuits is the way to go, however our congressman are generally lawyers and they will not kill the golden goose even at their constituents expense

I think you are right. I would go for torte reform first as that is what is raising a lot of costs that are 'out of sight' and not included in the costs they count as Medical costs. I know a Physician's Assistant that pays 40,000/per year for her liablity. Never had a claim. But can you imagine what she has to be salaried at to afford that? What about Doctor's insurance against liability - again it is astronomical and that is all figured in as one of the 'costs' they pay to do business.

I don't think we are going to get a choice though.

apparently, lawsuits and defensive medicine only account for 1% of health care costs.
