How much exercise do I need to do a day?
So I want to try and lose at least 4 kg this month, and I have so far been doing about 40 mins exercise a day in the gym - mostly continuous jogging.
I also have done some walking and stuff, eating healthily.
Is this adequate or should I only be eating so many calories and then exercising more?

4kg in a month! Ambitious, good luck! I never need to do cardio but whenever i did it for fitness i would always get bored jogging and stuff. Games like squash can burn up to 1000 calories an hour. Swimming is great too as it can tone you up so you're not left with anything unsightly after losing weight.
I'd say 40 minutes in the gym is fine, but try to have an active lifestyle outside of the gym (no point in going to the gym then sitting on the settee all day!)
Try to stick to about 2000 calories a day.

no, as long as you eat three healthy balanced meals a day and snack on healthy alternatives to junk food.
The minimum amount of exercise required a day is 30 minutes. This considers speeding up your heart rate.
You seem to be doing fine, but remember the weight more than likely won't drop off all at once, you'll probably see visible results in a few weeks!
Good luck! :)

sounds good. ur doing great. just go on with that routine and u'll lose 4 kilos in no time! ~applause~
u could also add some yoga to squeeze in for more flexibility, and aerobic dancing for breathing and muscle stretching. u seem like a very active person...

Sounds good. Im not professional but what your doing seems right to me. A lot of loosing weight is attitude and my Dad has proved that to me before. Your mind is an amazing thing and if you believe you can loose weight then you will. If you don't believe it then you will find it a lot harder to loose.

i think its enough , but as you want to loose 4kgs it wont be a bad idea to increase your exercise time a little more and focus on your diet as well
