Is it too late to litter train my rat?
I know it is possible to litter train a rat. do you have to do it when they are young. My rats Lola and Roxy are 1 year old. Do you think it is too late for them to learn?? Do you think that me messing up their cage by putting their litter in a small bin in the corner would upset them? I would put fleece down to replace their bedding.

Hello! It's never too late to potty train a pet! I don't think that they will be upset if you put it there, it will be a lot easier for you to pick up their poo.
Here's a helpful website:

Go ahead and try it. Age doesn't matter as much as the individual rat. Some rats will use the litter box without any prompting from you and some rats will refuse to use it no matter what you try. So good luck I hope it's easy for you.
