I have 2 rats, 2 years old. they seem to have lost interest in chewing. i have all kinds of things for them to chew on. Wood house, lava block, wood sticks, hard things that look like cheese, things hanging and on the floor of their cage. some stuff looks a little nibbled on, not much. But there teeth are starting to look long. If possible i don't want to put them through the stress of trimming their teeth. If i have to get them trimmed i will.

Is there anything i can put on their toys so they would chew them? or

Is there any specific toys they go crazy over?

I live in NY, About and hour north of NYC and 15mins from PA and NJ. I want to find a breeder so i can get a baby guinea pig for my Boyfriend.

I absolutely hate and will not drive to or through NYC. The closest breeder i found was in Long Island. i don't want to travel there i would drive no more than an hour and a half. I looked on Petfinder and they only have adult guinea pigs. i would really like a baby/young. I want a breeder. Does anyone know of a breeder that is close to me? Is there a website that list breeders in my area?

Why does my cat hang out in the attic above the garage? It can get to be 80°F outside. It gets much hotter in the attic. there are stairs that lead up there, so she can go up and down as she pleases. Should i block off the stair to keep her down? Do you think she might be up there to going after a bird or small animal? Why do you think she likes going up there? She is up in the attic alot. I just don't want her to get heat stroke.

Does any one know how to or a website that tell you how to make a fleece tube for my chinchilla? One that attaches to the cage. I'm good with tools. drilling and such. i don't have a sewing machine. If shipping wasn't so expensive i would definitely buy one.

I know it is possible to litter train a rat. do you have to do it when they are young. My rats Lola and Roxy are 1 year old. Do you think it is too late for them to learn?? Do you think that me messing up their cage by putting their litter in a small bin in the corner would upset them? I would put fleece down to replace their bedding.

I know that when you give a rat a hammock it should be made fleece. Why fleece? Is it because the fibers are smaller if they swallow them?
