I suppose they envision running the whole election OVER again......and even wilder.......they envision McCain and Palin suddenly sweeping to victory.

Obama knows absolutely where he was born, what the facts are.. but more important.. SO DOES THE LEGAL AUTHORITIES. He has complied with all laws.. and is eligible, always was.

Thus.. Obama does not have a "situation". The nation has a large group of persons who have disconnected from reality, and gets their facts/ legal education from fabricated websites.

But, you asked.. "what if.." which is valid to ask.

When Nixon resigned.. Ford took over. Simple. The framework has always been that the VP is there, for exactly that reason.

There is some question as to the process of candidate, and if they are subject to background clearance when running. I actually believe they ARE checked out, but people dont seem to know if this is or isn't fact.

Solution is to pass legislation that applies to all candidates for office, not just Obama. Security clearance checks should remain exactly as they are.. not open to the public.

Birthers (in some cases.. not all) are determined to twist or ignore the actual laws, to their own motives.

I am not sure if Biden would be eligible since he was also apart of the "false" campaign. If he wasn't, then that would make Pelosi President.

I am not sure if there is even a law that deals with a situation like this.

I think the supreme court would uphold the election, and the constitution would be altered. I think the birth certificate had to be shown when he first applied to enter the Democratic candidates race.
