Health Coverage while at BCT & AIT?

Is heath insurance covered while attending BCT and AIT? Or will there be a 31-+ waiting period to get it activated?

    You and your family are covered by insurance as soon as you enlist. You will need to bring all legal documents with you to get your family enrolled in DEERS. It is the same for all services.

    Yes, from the day you in-process you are covered. Would be too much of a bureaucratic hassle for the Army otherwise.
