all people got sinuses /air-filled cavities in bones surrounding the nose. These include 2 frontal ones in lower forehead/ 2 between eyes/2 in cheekbones and sphenoidal sinuses in skull behind the nose.Mucus drains from each sinus along a channel that opens into nose.INFECTIONS of a sinus causes SINUSITIS .This causes a feeling of fullness in the affected area, fever,a stuffy nose and loss of sense of smell. In my case i have sinusitus since March and my nose is chronic stuffed, have on/off slight headaches and got throat-/voice problems, its horrible. My ENT is advising an operation of my nose but I rather wait,Im afraid. I have had anti-biotics for 2/3 weeks and nasal-sprays and rinsing nostrils with saline-water...it helps just A LITTLE.Whether you have a sinus-problem is easily diagnosed from facial CT All best

press on your face, if it is painful, go to the doc. also, lean your head down/forward, if it feels like it fills up, go to the doc.
As for the operation, if you have a chronic infection, it is so worth it. I had infections for years off and on, and had surgery last June 08. I haven't had anything since, but 1 sore throat.
