I scrapped a car in a parking lot that was not parked in the correct lines, what should I do?
I was looking for parking in the mall parking lot and by mistake scratched a car that was outside parked right next to the road where the cars drive by. The car was not inside the yellow lines and the side that was sticking out is the side that I scratched. Who is at fault? I took pics of the incident, and the car.

You are at fault.
The other car was parked.
It was a hazard to be seen.
A car being illegally parked that blocks your way......does not give you the right to hit it. It gives you the right to get it towed away....but not to hit it.

Sorry, but it really doesn't matter if the guy was parked in the middle of the aisle in the parking lot. That car became a stationary object when it was parked and as the moving vehicle, you are at fault for hitting any stationary objects.
Call your insurance company if you have one, or prepare to be sued.
You are 100% at fault.
