I also live in Florida, where crime is a serious consideration (not talking dodge city here, just that people need to be armed and vigilant). It's becoming an issue everywhere these days. I don't agree with the licensing process, as it can be used to keep a list of firearm owners, but I agree whole heartedly with the absolute right to keep and bear arms.

I don't want people carrying guns where I live, but I don't care if you have a right to carry law where you live.

I think if the person is check out with a background check, then why not. Suppose a teacher in one of the colleges were armed (live V. Tech) when the kid started shooting. B A M!! He gets one in the head, end of story and not 35 innocent people killed like sitting ducks. Criminals are going to buy guns illegal anyway. So how does it hurt?

We already have the right to carry...the Constitution bears this out. Right to carry laws are redundant.

I am not sure. I feel that it could lead to a lot of mistakes that could result in people losing their lives, but it is also a good way to defend yourself.

I don't frequent bars much anymore. I'll wait until all the drunken rednecks shoot each other.

No seriously, I think it will lead to more homicides but on the other hand I want to protect myself.

I'd prefer to live somewhere it isn't necessary.

    saddam gave his people ak-47s.

kmart should be allowed to sell all arms, even nuclear weapons. there should be coupons for that too.

the shooter in pittsburgh bought his gun legally from a website. the same website that sold a gun to the virginia tech shooter.

I like them very much, just wish they weren't so damn restrictive.

When could I possibly need a gun the most?

    The bank

    Leaving a bar(not drinking, designated)

    Church

    School functions

    casino

post office(if I don't have it boxed, those girls get rough)

    large stadiums(2500 or more)

Source(s): alright already, the post office is a bad example.
