Need info on ewe reproductive health?
I have a ewe with a swollen vulva. If you know sheep you know the vulva is pointy at the bottom - that is the part that is swollen. She is not off her feed, she is in good condition and otherwise seems fine. What would cause the swelling and any suggestions on how it should be treated? Please don't tell me "ask a vet." I thought I would try here first. If I can't get a decent answer I will ask my vet.
Thanks!

Your ewe may be starting to go into heat. They normally breed in the fall and have the lambs in spring.
Source(s): I work with a lot of dogs and right before they start to go into heat thier vulvas swell up. Ive also asked fellow coworkers who have farms. Good luck :)
